What's new

Out Now: Areia - Cinematic Ensemble Strings

Over the years it's been hit and miss for me with Audio Imperia support. Pricing and sales related questions were answered fairly promptly, but anything having to do with product features, performance, bugs, and general support questions have gone completely ignored.

The only way I could get their attention about product issues is by posting something here, but they don't always acknowledge that either.

Does Audio Imperia ever respond to support questions sent by email? They never did to mine: in 2021, 2022, and now yesterday. So I never bothered getting anything from them besides Areia Lite. Yesterday was the third time that I asked about something and never got any response so I don't think I will take advantage of any of their sales or upgrades.
Yes and they were pretty quick. Course they were during the work day.

I just downloaded the update and HOLY CRAP does this sound great. I'm playing with the close mics - so crisp, clean and detailed. Full of life. I always liked the tone of this library but never used it as it seemed something was off with the legato I guess. It really has the potential to be my main strings library and I'm excited to use it in an upcoming track. I bet it will be off the charts when combined with Jasper's upcoming solo strings.

This update is awesome! It was a pain to adjust my template to take advantage of the new features but it was worth it.

However there are a few features that I couldn't find in the new legato patches that existed in the legacy versions. Am I just blind or did they really not implement sordino, niente and 2nd violins toggles in the new legatos?

Move the original Areia to another drive or desktop(or simply delete it if you are going to only use the new version) , then open Kontakt to make sure it giving you get the missing library error for Areia. Go into Native Access and click the refresh button on top and Areia should now show needs repair. Click the 3 dots next to repair and select reinstall.
Awesome, thank you @paulmatthew! After MUCH stuffing around thanks to Native Access being annoying (once again VI to the rescue with an old thread telling me how to get around the storage issues) it's installed and I'm quite impressed with the update so far.

Glad you got it sorted. When updating Audio Imperia library updates from Native Access it's always best to move it to another drive or back it up, delete the original version from it's location , then open Kontakt to make sure it's not found. Open Native access and set it to reinstall to whatever location you want. I find it best to open Native access preferences first to set the download location and content location before downloading.

OK, strange - maybe my Eastern European-sounding name is the reason they have ignored me =)
Have you tried a PM to them here?

If they haven't replied on multiple occasions, that indicates to me a problem with the email server either at their end or yours.

Well, I get their newsletter emails every week. I may try to contact them here.
I had exactly the same situation with PA back in the day (with the added bonus of Dirk getting snotty over it): the newsletters are coming from a different server. I just had a look and AI uses Mailchimp for newsletters.

Sorry you've had that experience with lack of responses. I've always had amazing turnarounds to my mails and even multiple responses in a row.

Maybe I was lucky in the time of day I was mailing them
and they weren't having to respond to many others.
@audioimperia is a small developer, so I guess can be spread quite thin when it gets busy, like during
sales, updates and announcements.

But don't give up on them, they are a cool company and do value their customer responses
and enquiries (well in my experiences with them)

*note I have paid for every single one of my Audio Imperia products and am in no way
endorsed by them.

They finally responded to my last email after I sent them a PM here.
