WHAT'S NEW IN V1.2?
  • Revamped Legatos: Dive into a whole set of newly recorded legatos (Legato Fingered, Legato Rebowed, Legato Portamento) that not only elevate the texture of your compositions but also offer expansive versatility.
  • Performance Legato Patch: Redefining playability, the newly developed Performance Legato patch combines all three of the new legatos. This singular, customizable patch allows you a fluid, dynamic play.
  • Shorts Overlay Feature: Furthering our commitment to versatility and nuanced control, we've integrated a Shorts Overlay feature. Now, enjoy three distinct, controllable short notes harmoniously integrated within the Legato patch. This fusion of articulation types empowers you with a new level of playability.
  • Your favorites stay untouched: The original Legato patch continues to be a part of Areia, ensuring no disruptions to your ongoing or legacy projects. With V1.2, we've addressed known issues and enhanced the overall stability, ensuring a smoother legato sound.
Please note: Given the size of the newly added content, this update to Areia (V1.2) is only available via a reinstall of the library within Native Access. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope that all of the new content makes up for that! Watch the how-to video HERE.

Wow @audioimperia congrats on this huge update! Looking forward to trying it out this evening. Crazy awesome that you recorded more legato types and the new performance patches sound really useful. Perhaps @Daniel James would find an interest in sketching with the update since I know he's a huge fan of this library.
 
This update looks amazing! One question about crossgrades. I saw there is a 100$ discount from Nucleus to Areia and the same from Jaeger to Areia, so if i have Nucleus & Jaeger, is the discount 200$?
 
@audioimperia when exactly will the update be live for us? I started a re-install (and deleted the old files, like the video said), but it just grabbed version 1.1 again for me.

I'll probably try again tomorrow. I've already waited quite a bit anyways, what's another day or two.

edit: I think it's live for me now - I uninstalled it to prepare for later, and now it's offering me a larger download than before.

Yes I watched it! But was interested if there was any demo songs with it all in context to go with the walkthrough which was all noodling single lines. :)
 
It's so stupid we pay a premium for the Kontakt license yet it's incapable of just doing in an incremental update and instead forces to delete and redownload an 80gig library

Apart from the booo at Native Instruments because it's not an AI fault, great update, looking forward to playing with it in 6 hours

The way I read it from the email, it seemed that the crossgrade offers stack up when it's Nucleus or Jaeger with Areia Lite.

Just finishing up a few things and am still in the UK. I will be having a play for sure when I get a second tho! looks like an awesome update! :)

Is there a way to adjust the levels of the shorts overlay in the legato performance patches? They are extremely loud compared to the legato strings especially on the modern mix.
