All VI Freebie contributions Here!

Mixbox SE By IK Multilmedia ( It was praised on forum when it was on discount so it's worth checking out) is free on ADP: https://audioplugin.deals/product/mixbox-se-by-ik-multimedia/
They don't make it easy to find, but you can see what it includes here:

Another free or pay-what-you-want VI:

It is a hybrid instrument, blending guitar and autoharp samples. Apparently, it has up to 3 dynamic layers and RRs, and the material was recorded through tape. The plugin itself is available in VST and AU formats.

The developer I have only recently heard of has released a Lite version of their latest Kontakt library:

They also offer free Lite versions of their other commercial libraries. You need a full version of Kontakt 6 and above to run these.

Here is the latest free VST from SampleScience:

This is based on sounds from rather obscure drum machines. The plugin is available in VST, VST3, and AU formats. AAX support is missing.

Not sure if it was mentioned here before, but MONSTER Ethnica by Agus Hardiman is one hell of a plugin. Really, really great collection of (dry) usable oriental sounds with an astonishing variety.

It also has some of the nicest GUI's I've ever seen.

(Library is around 2GB)

@VforVic; this is a really nice find! I haven't come across this developer before. Judging from the screenshots on the website, this is quite a mature project. The GUI is indeed creative and pleasant-looking; it reminds me somewhat of the Reaktor series by boscomac.

I haven't heard this in action yet but the library size promises detailed sampling. Although I already have several commercial libraries featuring world instruments (not to mention a curated selection of free ones), I might try this out when I find some time.

P.S. The other plugins by this developer also look very promising.

He participated in the last kvr develloper challenge, had some (nice) communication with him and some requests (he was stuck in his devellopment environment which makes evrything apart of that rompler stuff he is doing now nearly impossible but was already learning some new devellopment languages).

There is LOTS of other FREE libraries out there from him at this sidte, from drums to pads to guitars to..... but the ethnic stuff definitely stands out, and it is all definitelly NO BS.

But it wont leave the rompler level right now. But if you are looking simply for ANY kind of instrument on this level this is definitely worth a look

The Aquae Organ is arguably the finest free library from Soundiron to date. I'm not a huge fan of pipe organ, but this particular instrument is fantastic fodder for sound design and it shows in this library big time. The GUI is very powerful although it does seem a bit cluttered at first. I'm going to check this one out sooner or later.

From all the free Kontakt 7 Player freebie instrument serials being given out in unlimited quantities by various developers I'd assumed NI wasn't charging some authorized developers for free Player serials provided they were only compatible with Kontakt 7? Or maybe not?
Everything is possible. Come to think of it, the trend of releasing free Kontakt Player libraries really took off after K7 was introduced.

Update for The Free Orchestra 2, a fully sampled (all dynamics, RRs, mic positions) kit from Lineage Percussion.
Cheers! Looking forward to trying this out. I'm always happy to see a free instrument that is not technically limited in comparison to the commercial version. Speaking of which, I think that ProjectSAM has made a big step forward in this respect with TFO2, which is emphasized by a much larger footprint of the newer library.
