Anyone else having trouble getting the latest TFO2 instrument? I'm running the latest version of NA and the TFO2 update doesn't show for me. At least it was so yesterday (I'm on CET). I still haven't tried today.

I had to re-install TFO2 twice before NA gave me the correct combination of samples and instrument patches. The installation path was also changed to include "Library" at the end - took me a while to realise.

Great freebie, NA still garbo.

Mine downloaded fine just now, they may have had a temporary issue earlier

NA didn't want to update on its own so I had to download the latest installer and run that before it would show TFO2 with the new update.

Anyone know what happened here?

Quite possibly what happens to everybody who makes high quality free samples and tries to find a host that will tolerate the level of bandwidth that can generate. I got lucky with Karoryfer and had a friend who worked for a hosting company that gave him a personal server with unlimited bandwidth, before that went out of business and I moved things to Github (which can handle the bandwidth but requires that you open-source your stuff).

This morning I opened up 'NI Access', clicked on update, and TFO2 updated straight away with no problems. (I'm on W11).

OK. I'll try again when I get back to the studio. Possibly the update shows in NA now. If not, I'll try what @TomaeusD suggests above.

Downloaded and reinstalled Native Access. Got the update immediately.

I'm subscribed to the NI newsletter so I occasionally get news about their blog. In the latest one, there was a post about five free vocal libraries for Kontakt. This included two ones by Rast Sound that I wasn't aware of:


I apologize if those were already mentioned here before (which is a possibility, being the older releases). Both libraries require a full version of Kontakt to run.

I don't really need these, but perhaps they could be interesting to someone else.

I stumbled across the free expansion pack for Hybrid 3 synth by AIR Music Tech:


This is a 2024 update of this pack, bringing some new sounds.

The pack caught my attention as it's geared toward ambient and meditative sounds rather than EDM.

A while ago, I purchased Hybrid 3 and a few other VI synths by AIR for next to nothing through Plugin Boutique. These days, I mostly use synths from NI, but those from AIR are often underappreciated. So if someone has Hybrid 3, this might be worth looking into.

I found out about this sample pack featuring various sounds from life and nature:


I'm guessing these are WAV files. Unfortunately, there aren't any details on how many sounds are inside, filesize, etc. You need to go through the checkout process to get this.
