Native Access problem - anyone else??

Im updating as I write this but wont know for sure until I do a refresh after 4/5 and then see if they are not still there - fingers crossed . I already have PR off on our mac
 
It seems to work now. Yesterday I had all sorts of issues there, not loading, etc. until reading about their maintenance. All I had wanted to do is install something I hadn't installed previously, now everything works properly.
 
well so far so good .. a refresh cut the not installed q down by 4 and Ive checked the installed list and they are there .. so fingers crossed it is working ok at the mo .. bar one hiccup ... Ozone 11 Equaliser .. add library ???? how do I do that and Ozone 10 standard shows as installed but still in not installed list. Maybe Ill leave them til last and do some more research if no one knows the answers from you guys/gals

Nope it all back to where I started - drat (server issues again)
 
Well NI claim it is all up and running but NOT FOR ME .... They have at least made contact and asked me to send some screen shots. But same ol ... 11 not installed and 1 update ... do the 1 update and 3 smaller GB installs .. all show installed (tick) ... do a refresh or reset and all back again .... it is really an awful platform esp as you have to keep putting your password in each and every time. Doing my ed in big time.
 
After xz tries yesterday and the day before to get NA working I deinstalled the latest version of NA and installed a legacy version (see link above) and could finally install some products.
Today I tried to install a new Maschine expansion, could only register the new serial after a couple re-starts of NA (showing some htm errors?!) and then got informed that it won't install the expansion because it's a 'demo'. Complete BS and after another round of restarts NA finally accepted the serial # and finished the installation successfully.

What a bl...dy mess ...

(Edit: I've got three Windows laptops right next to me, one with 10 Pro and the other two running Win 11 Pro, same story on each one of them).

Maybe NA2 works better now (who knows?) but I am somewhat reluctant to upgrade to that again after the fiasco over the weekend and why i went back to NA1 - if NI say I should and its Ok then Ill give it a go again.

The problem I have is that most of the instals now are over 25Gig (some over 50Gig) and they will take ages to download and confirm install and then run the risk of NOTHING. Can i afford the time all over again.
 
Try this: Turn off Private Relay, reboot, then run Native Access. That's what finally did the trick for me.
This seems to have done the trick for me and I didn't even reboot. I even tested one update which ended up working, turned Private Relay back on without shutting NA and it still worked?? Maybe it does a quick IP check when you first open the app.

Mine was already turned off throughout but Ill give it another try - worth a punt
 
Have finally got it working again with NA2 but boy it takes so long to start up - in my case almost 20 mins then it appears with the products in line. Im down to just 6 installs to go iso 11 - all over 25Gig plus 8 Spitfire - also all over 30Gig so Ill be still doing this all next week by the looks of things .. although Continuata still is also causing problems with downloads of Ethera (that has to be another downloader that is c**p)

update ... all downloaded and checked .. so hopefully all back to normal bar Continuata (Zero G have cfmd they will contact them for me and get them to check their platform)

Hello all! I have read on the forum & have so appreciated the knowledge and helpfulness here! But I have never tried to post. I can't figure out how to start a new thread, so posting here in this NI thread. Can anyone tell me hope to start a new thread? Sorry for such a newbie question!

I will go ahead & say why I am needing to post. I got a new M2 Mac Studio, & am trying to download my Kontakt libraries. NI is newly downloaded, at least 3x now. It worked for an Embertone library, Viola da Gamba (& a few others). Now I have other Embertone libraries to install. I am told by Embertone that I should be seeing the choices, which I have used before: "Not Installed," and, "repair."

The "Not Installed" window is completely absent, though there are numerous libraries that are not installed. I downloaded the Bell Library according to Embertone's and NI instructions. I see it there in NI. The choice by the Bell library is "locate." If I select "locate", I get the usual "invalid path" notice. I try all that, it doesn't remedy the problem. The Bell Library is shown as having the version number, 0.0.0, obviously not right. I have followed Embertone's instructions, after telling them it isn't working, several times to no avail.

I avoid using my Kontakt libraries as much as I can. I tried to a remedy a cracks, pops, and distortion problem with the NI Strad Violin (the other three solos strings worked), in Native Instruments own libraries last year, and had the worst experience I have ever had in decades of software use with any software company. The almost comically bad interaction with their support was like a Saturday Night Live skit. I got in a kind of never ending loop with what seemed like AI generated, canned responses. It would take 4 or 5 days for them to respond, and then I would get yet another tidbit of unhelpful direction which in any case didn't solve the problem. This went on for at about five weeks. That problem was never solved, I finally gave up, and I have been unable to use that NI library. I hoped that in some future Kontakt version, it would work.

Now I have a new M2 Mac Studio. In a weak moment, I got some more Embertone Libraries recently. I did manage after a lot of trouble, to get some Cinesamples libraries installed; also the NI String Quartet. The Bell Violin, which worked before, I cannot get installed. I did get their Gamba library to work.

The debacle 10 days ago... here we is again.

Can anyone help?

Can't help the above, but as a general FYI - I couldn't log in with NA2 on Macos yetersday, got a permanent beachball. Windows was fine the same day. Eventually I downloaded a new version of NA2 for mac, installed that and then it worked first time. So it seemst to me there's still some hangovers from the outage last week in specific cases.

Guy, thank you so much! I guess I will try downloading NA yet again - probably the fourth time. But won't I have to do everything all over again with my numerous Kontakt Libraries? There are some installed and working.
 
assume you have granted access to all NI mentions in your privacy and security settings Leafy?
 
Thank you Delboy, I just checked, and yes it seems so. I got an email about your message, and Guy's, above. I will look again. I am unfamiliar with forum procedures.

I think yours might be a different problem Leafy - mine was just a general report for anyone who isn't able to log in. It sounds to me like you need NI support.
