This expressive designer tool redefines audio manipulation, allowing you to transport your sound to completely new and impossible spaces. More than just a delay and reverb effect, VAST provides intuitive controls, innovative impulses, unique rhythmic echoes, and unconventional effects for a true playground of creative experimentation

Curious to hear experiences from early adopters. There’s a demo available for download.

preset playthrough:

dang, I got excited for a second thinking they'd partnered with Kurzweil to bring VAST to the virtual market.

Hehe. I am happy I have my K2500 for that still. I’d not have posted such a thing in this forum ;)

From the very first minutes that I'm playing with VAST now, I can only say....it will take many many more minutes to explore everything (ok, that's normal with Heavocity stuff) but anyhow very very interesting, especially the part of dragging my own Impuse Responses into the Convolution Effect...probably too early to speak, but I might send Black Hole into retirement

I trust you’ll be videotaping these explorations? ;)

I might 😂 Won't be immediate as I don't want to make a video quick just to be the first, not knowing the plugin inside out. But yes, for sure I will talk about it
Wise words my friend, wise words. Slightly on-topic: I did end up buying Heavyocity Intimate Textures and Intimate Rhythms this holiday season after watching your video on them. That was a particularly well-produced (and well researched) ‘episode’ of yours. There is just no better way than a good contextual review, based on actual usage in a composing setting. In other words: take all the time you need, should you ever be inclined to review this new plugin.

Behold my new instrument:

An alto clarinet. Rivaled only by the viola for the position of ”most joked about instrument in the world”.

But look, mine now has this secret weapon:

A piezo pickup I imported all the way from Australia.

I actually intended to record this through Blackhole. But….

probably too early to speak, but I might send Black Hole into retirement
… maybe it is time for VAST *) and draconic changes to that plan….

[to be continued]

*) by the way - what’s up with this naming ‘convention’ that the more spacious reverb plugins all have names like Blackhole, Supermassive etc.

Just the other day I was watching a documentary on quasars and vast supermassive black holes in the center of galaxies and -at last- I understood how Sean of Valhalla came up with the name ‘Supermassive’.

I'm relieved in listening to the demos that I can already do this with other tools. I actually just powered on my hardware fx right before writing this and listening to the demos of VAST, and am eyeing the Polymoon+MercuryX combo.

Vast sounds good (and has a decent crossgrade price), if you don't already have solutions.

I suspect a Valhalla Delay + Supermassive could get there, though you may need something more like the new Recirculate or Timeless 3 + Supermassive for the more complex stuff.

Tried it. It's good, if you don't have a zillion other reverbs, shmeverbs, deverbs etc then you'll want it. Hard to compare with what I already have, which is a considerable amount. Heavyocity makes good stuff, this is no exception.

Yup! Demoing right now as 59 ain't bad!

Update.... crap....it just had to be great didn't it.
