Lost Macros and Toolbar in Studio One 5

What exactly stopped working? What happens if you run the macros? (And how did you run them, via toolbar, keyboard shortcuts, etc.?) Do the other Scoring Tools commands work? If you open the Keyboard Shortcuts, do you see the "Move Selected Tracks to Folder" command? That's the command used in the macros...

Hey Lukas! I appreciate the quick response very much.

Only some of the tools work: next variation, next marker and solo. And it appears that the command you've referenced is missing:

I reinstalled the scoring tools from an installer I had on my computer and restarted, but it's still not working. I had a major glitch last week and purged my S1 settings to rebuild them. Most things are back to normal now, but the tools are still missing!

Okay, this is not the Keyboard Shortcuts, it's the Macro Organizer. This is where you see the macros, not the commands. Macros can be created by anyone, commands can only be created by developers like Lawrence or myself (and PreSonus, of course). And the macros require the Scoring Tools commands, otherwise they won't do anything.

So my first guess is that you don't have Scoring Tools installed. You can check this in Studio One -> Studio One Installation and then "Installed Content".

Yes :) So what exactly does not work? How do you run the macros and what happens? Do you use the included macros or did you build your own?

No I use the included ones but nothing happens when I click the macro buttons. It's the strangest thing. I might just deinstall and reinstall S1... Here's another interesting thing: I can use the Move to Folder command itself manually just fine. Just not from the Scoring Tools...

Is this the original/included macro toolbar? You did not duplicate and modify it?

I tried to reproduce this on macOS and Windows 10 but everything works as expected on my test systems.

If you select the first item in the "Move to" menu, "Move to Folder...", does this open the dialog?

If you choose View -> Additional Views -> Messages, is there an error message about macros not found?

These are the only ideas I have so far.

Hi Lukas,

Thanks again for your helpful questions which led me to the solution. Yes, I was seeing an error message about "Macro not Found", so I reset the toolbar and now all the buttons work. Back in business!

Thanks for the great support as usual.
