Keep-forest FERRUM - thoughts?

I just bought Ferrum to complement Damage/Damage2, Cerberus and Box and I think for my epic/hybrid big perc needs i'm pretty set.

That being said, I love the sequencer in Ferum but I am extremely disappointing in how little options there are for sound tweaking. All the samples are extremely hyped (which is great for an out-of-the-box sound) but I have little to no controls over eq or tonality on a per hit basis. I have to render everything out and process after the fact.

Say what you will about Damage 2 hype-ness but I get EQ/tone/room controls on a per hit basis and I can really dial in a sound before it ever leaves kontakt which is hugely valuable to me. I'm not disappointed in Ferrum since I got it on sale but you really have to use the sounds as-is so it's definitely an add-on library and not a main utility.

Does anyone know what the delay compensation is for Ferum?
Which patches? There are a few one shot kits you can play like they're drum kits, but many of the patches have some kind of natural pre-transient noises, textures, or whooshes that happen before the downbeat, which are unique to each individual sample. That's the nature of working with SFX samples...

The easiest way to deal with it is to play the 'drum kit' patches by hand (or programmed), and either drag the included wav files in and line them up to the grid, or slide your MIDI around until it sounds on beat. (You can also bounce to audio, chop up the bounced audio, and line up each hit or percussion sample to the grid)...

To be more specific, its the "Epic Trailer Percussion"
