Sirs, I would like to submit questions simultaneously to The Sound Board & Steinberg forums in addition to "VI-Control" so as to take advantage of the knowledges available within them all.

However I don't want to irritate or create offense by doing so by abusing any of my forum privileges , thus this note to ask if you would be offended by my submitting, in addition to Vi-Control, multiple submissions across all 3 forums at the times I have general enquiries?

Thank you!

Hi Garr,
thanks for asking before creating facts, a cultivated approach that has quite some class imho. Speaking for VI-Control we have no forum rule that forbids posting enquiries across different forums.

Speaking about emotions instead of rules I think I can speak for my moderator colleagues that nobody would be offended here. We know that there are other forums and co-exist in peace.

Best regards, Hannes (moderator)

Thank you Hannes. Your reply was a gentlemans (gentle man's) response, and appreciated.

I am new and don't see how to ask the mderators a question - but I found this old post... I've just had a long exhange with someone on a technical matter, and I wanted to give a link to something I created with the software we were discussing. How do you feel about that? AND - Is there a list of rules somewhere as to what to post or not post?

Burt, could you be a little more specific? Normally it's fine to post links to your work as long as it's not spam. There's also a members' composition section.

We've been talking about Digital Performer, about which I complained alot. I wanted to link to a piece I recently completed using DP, to show I don;t spend all my time complaining about the software! It's a classical piece, so there's no commerical value here. I could link to it on my website, on my Youtube channel or just give a link to it in my Dropbox - or nothingt - whatever you think is normal. (I'd like to appear normal, like I know what I am doing! ;) Thanks, Burt

See the thread below. It was written with you and a couple other guys in mind. ;) (And yes, I deleted your signature again just now.)
