Started piano when I was 5 (I'm 53). Jazz theory and improvisation since 1989 and classical since I could speak. I was a piano major at UCLA Herp Albert School of Music for 2 years but changed my major. I still play but not as much . For the past 5 years, I have been focusing on composition (jazz, classical, improvising Arabic and Turkish Maqams on the keyboard using micro tuning).
