What's new

Do yourself a favor, discover Anne-Kathrin Dern if you haven't already. Composer expenses and income 2024.

Yeah we've been discussing it in the VWinds thread (for anyone not posting every five minutes like myself, today at least).

^^^ I played some MIDI in Infinite Woodwinds. Ivan ran it through VWinds. My mod wheel was too high for the first main Clarinet part. He turned it down and ran it through Berlin Studio. Then the clarinet was two quiet for the second part. Then someone ran it through MIR. It was good times.

^^^ Previously I was asking (not rhetorically) why I'd get VWinds, if I already owned Infinite Woodwinds.

Anyone remember....? Somewhere inside the 5 hours AK Dern mentioned a name of a game composer with a Youtube site that breaks down the tech of composing game music.
The chapters in the current video don't help me locate that name.
In case some kind soul can offer me a name I am curious to dive into that site.

ANSWER = Austin Wintory on Utoob.
The first video I am checking out should be interesting -- never heard of Austin nor Chance so it fascinates me to listen to a gaming composer heavy:

You are the best thing on YouTube for all of us! The clever introductory scenery shots, the superior presentations, choice of topics, and above all your honesty in conveying information, all receive 5 stars! Thank you for what you do.

A-KD, keep doing what you're doing and don't change a thing. I have learned a ton from your vids and it's fun when you let your personality shine through. It's like you're talking to friends. Thanks for that.
