Mixing professionally on headphones with Emrah Celik

As a slight aside - I've stopped worrying about how mixes translate to cars after a brief spell working at a dealership for an expensive German brand.

Every new car out the box comes with the bass cranked up to insane levels (it sells cars) and some even have extra reverb added as a "surround effect." Chasing tails stuff.
It does help me balance everything though and that's helpful for me. And it translated to a much better mix! I'm kinda over-the-moon with how much it has helped! : )

Yep I'm a user there as well!

@Paul@Sydney is also quite enthusiastic about the HE400SE :)
Thanks, I edited my reference and added a link directly to the amp and headphone forum. Great site. One thing to be aware of with the HE400SE is its about 20 ohms ircc (maybe 24?) and therefore the current capacity of the amp becomes essential. What looks marginal at 32 ohms is not going to be good at all at 20-24 ohms. With their high current capacities, the Atom Amp 2 and the Topping L30II are both going to be really good with the HE400SE. I checked the reviews today and the Topping actually measured slightly better, but the owner ratings are a bit less than the Atom 2. All to say take your pick, they're both great and for the HE400SE you'll want one of these two. But to think a completely competent headphone system can be had for around $250 is really a welcome thing. And I've done the A/B with my $thousands headphone system so can say it isn't a myth.
