The best from Native Instruments and IK Multimedia?

Hi to all!
having NI Komplete and most of IK Multimedia FX stuff from T-Racks and Mixbox, I wonder which is the "best" ones from these two suites that I could use.
Most of the effects model the same gear, and I just wonder if someone made a 1-1 comparison to figure out which one is the best for a particular purpose.
I also have several FX from Nomad Factory from an old Cakewalk version but I rarely load them.

Despite using these FX since ages, I'm still an hobbyst and my ears are quite broken, so any advice would be great to adress me to the most effective plugin that I have, without going randomly from one to another! :)

For T-Racks I like the Tapes (all), Bus Comp, Stealth Limiter, Sunset Reverb and the 1176. The tapes, however, are a complete CPU hog so use with caution.

Most of the NI plugins aren't anything to call home about except for some of the reverbs AFAIK. I suggest you start with the IK ones first in general and if you can't find what you're looking for, Komplete may offer a choice. But most likely the IK's will eat the rest for breakfast.

What plugins you prefer are highly subjective. There are so many variables, like preferred workflow, GUI design, styles of music, expectations, experience, do the plugins give you what you're after when you try to use them ect. Impossible to advice.

I like the IK Stealth Limiter, and Replica from NI. I use those quite a bit.

Generally, as far as FX goes, IK > NI everytime, however there are some interesting things in Komplete for creative FX - Guitar Rig can be used for things other than guitars, and also try the Reaktor ensemble "Banaan Electrique"

I can't really comment on which one is best. But I have a list of ones that I use most commonly. Mostly because I am familiar with how they work and what they do. I will mention the ones I almost always use. The british channel, eq 81, bus compressor, saturator x, black 76

Warren Huart did some good videos a while back on how to use them. I learnt a lot from him. Check out some of his mixing in a box videos.

NI are fine as well. I use the effects when I load up Maschine. But I rarely use them in a DAW these days.
