VEP and MIR

Hello All! I am using Cubase, VEP and MIR and I can't figure out how to use MIR on only certain instruments. I have numerous libraries and I want to mix them together. I am getting the impression that it is best to use MIR in VEP, is that right? Or should I use it in Cubase? I don't understand buses and sends... I know this is a simple thing, but I am not getting it.

All libraries are loaded into VEP.

Would appreciate help!

You can insert MIR just like any other plugin. Sounds goes into the plugin and comes out of the same plugin. The MIR UI just allows to mix everything in one UI, but it does not do any audio processing itself - it's all done in the plugin instance.
