Sorry if this is an old chestnut that I've missed. But I've had this turn up on a couple of large scores. If I use Note Performer as my only sound library, editing is quite quick. There's of course the 1 second delay if I cause a note to sound, but that's quite predictable. But if I use any additional soundset (one I create with another library), any sort of edit slows way down. Simply selecting a note or passage brings a couple of seconds of spinning beach ball. Any edit, whether or not I'm doing it on an instrument in my sound set, gets this sort of delay.
I really can't figure out what Sib is doing to bog it down. I'm getting it now with a simple rototom set from VSL. It's way down the soundID tree, so it shouldn't have much of an effect on any sort in internal searches Sib is doing. On a previous project I had several instruments in a Kontakt 7 multi, so the sound search would potentially much larger. The lag isn't any longer, but still ~2 seconds is really an annoying delay when it happens all of the time.
Does anybody experience this and have some idea what's going on?
Thanks,
Michael
