MG Soft Acoustic Guitar - Out Now on Spitfire Audio (updated version)

Hi all, I was holding off posting on here until we made a couple of updates, but pleased to say MG Soft Acoustic Guitar is out on Spitfire Audio. Since its release last Thursday the reaction has been fantastic, as seen in the comments of my walkthrough video below.

This guitar library aims to set new standards for its beautiful sensitive sound and intuitive playability; recorded, designed and built from the ground up by myself, and experienced professional guitarist and composer.

Following my first Spitfire Audio release MG Soft Nylon Guitar, this instrument features my beautiful Martin J-40 steel string guitar, recorded at Spitfire Audio HQ back in November'22, with thousands of delicately recorded samples, an array of articulations and detailed scripting and calibration. And with all-new playing modes and features, producing authentic guitar parts is a breeze; including an intuitive chord mode for strumming styles, and a fully customisable sequencer mode, including a MIDI Drag and Drop feature.

Here is a detailed walkthrough video here on Youtube.

I will be making a series of Youtube videos going in-depth into the instrument, plus offering tips for guitar composing and production in general, so please do subscribe to my channel via the below YT link.

Thanks again and I hope you enjoy the guitar. More libraries to come soon..

Hi @Maestromike
I have used both your Soft Nylon and your Soft Acoustic with great results together with the JamOrigin MIDI Guitar software. But now there is a new version coming out allowing for polyphonic bends to be used, and I am wondering; would there be any possibility of unlocking the Soft Nylon, or at least introducing a bend functionality for vibrato? It is obviously preferable to any scripted vibrato, especially considering it is to be applied per note. Thanks for the two beautifully-sounding instruments. 🙏

Thanks for that and really glad you're enjoying both my guitars. Sorry currently it's not possible to open up the instruments for editing being Kontakt Player instruments, however I will bear in mind adding scripted vibrate to Soft Nylon in a future update, as have had a few requests for that. Thanks again!

Ok, but scripted vibrato is not what I would look for instead of access to bends. I would like to ask how it is "not possible" to add a pitch bend function in Kontakt, but I am afraid it comes off as harsh or rude, and that is not what I intend. I am just curious. Is it perhaps a Spitfire decision? If it is plain impossible, I'll just go for something else. But it would be a pity, since I really enjoy the sound of the nylon, and would love it in a polyphonic version too. Thank you for taking the time to answer. Much appreciated.
