Announcing the newly updated Angklung! This traditional tuned percussion instrument originates from 7th Century AD Indonesia, and has been meticulously recorded to capture its authentic sound. Angklungs can be heard in a variety of traditional and modern music, from gamelan orchestras to pop bands and jazz ensembles.

Spanning nearly 3 octaves of a major scale, we recorded 18 notes of tuned percussion in both dry studio and spacious hall environments, along with a collection of sustaining pads, ambiences, and soundscapes crafted from the raw bamboo Angklung recordings. This library is built for the full version of Kontakt 6.2.2 or later.

This sounds fantastic! I don't know whether it sounds better than the original version - I'd have to listen more closely - but there's no doubt that this is a lovely sound. I love that you've recorded this in different places to get both dry and room-flavoured sounds, as well as the provision of the original tuning and Western tuning. Well done! I'm on a sample-library diet at the moment, but... Oh dear!

I got the upgrade email two days ago: it actually arrived before the general announcement one. I'm not sure if the link is personalised as it takes to straight to the checkout page with the upgrade loaded in the cart, otherwise I'd PM it. But I'm sure they'll send you a link if you email them.
