EQ cinematic percussion/hit help

When it comes to eq do I go down to 24.0 Hz - 48 db/Out - 0.71? Is it common to go down to 24, 25? And what about linear EQ, would I go down to 24/25 as well? What’s the best practice? As you can see I have no idea what I’m doing when it comes down to eq on cinematic percussion/hit.

Also do I add reverb, chorus or delay to cinematic hit or leave it alone?

It all depends on the source so I would say a generic "Whatever sounds good?" As for the sub bass around 25Hz , do you have anything to monitor it? If not just leave that alone. You will know it when it's really overwhelming and have to compress.

I personally wouldn't add reverb on subs.

For example:

25Hz - one of the less audible and less important aspects of the sound

50Hz - depending on genre and speakers may be audible or important (or not)

80-100Hz - usually audible and often important, depending on genre and speakers

As a point of reference, the fundamental of the lowest note on a guitar in standard tuning (the low E) is around 83 hz. The lowest note on an electric bass in standard tuning would be an octave lower, so around 41 hz.

While this doesn't answer your question directly, if you're familiar with those instruments, this can give you a way to think about the numbers involved.
