Hi there. Although an eexperienced performing musician, I am pretty new to all of this and slowly building my set up.
I am learning Reaper, have a pc, an Audient audio interface, Yamaha cp88 as input keyboard, have Cinestrings core and solo, as well as bbc symphony core and a few pianos etc.
I’m looking to upgrade to a Mac. Cost is an issue, but just want to be sure it’ll be powerful enough to run small projects (normally string quartet size, but maximum 6-7 tracks with a few basic plug ins (lexicon reverb etc)
Would the attached specs do a basically good job? Given that my current 4 year old pc with I5 processor and 16gb ram is ‘almost’ managing- I would hope so.
Sorry for any silly questions and incorrect terminology, but I suppose we all need to start somewhere.
