Does StaffPad have Latin Percussion Sound Bank?

Hi guys!

I've been hired to write some Salsa arrangements for Latin Orchestra and I want to write them in StaffPad. I noticed the default sound bank doesn't have any tumbadoras (congas) or bongoes and I was checking the sound fonts available in the Store. I found "Cine Perc" which features Congas and Bongoes but I was wondering if the Sound Bank reads hand technique sounds (open tone, slap, fingers, palm, etc) so I can make it sound in a Latin tumbao manner. And also I'd like to know if there's any way I could buy just the Latin Percussion Ensemble since this is anything I really need for the job.

Thanks a lot!!

As far as I remember there's definitely some of those different techniques. I'll upload an example video later today.

You can't buy parts of libraries though, only the full thing.

What you can do is import audio so you could import percussion tracks of what you need.

So Congas have hands, stick, mallets. Bongos have hands, fingers, sticks, mallets.

I've attached audio and score of hands and fingers covering all documented articulation options. There's some inconsistency in triggering them as can often be the case with staffpad. For example the slash trem triggers the roll in the Congas but the trill symbol triggers it in the Bongos. There's also some inconsistency with round robins and I'm not entirely sure what's going on in the mute section.

So if I can import audio tracks, can I record the each tumbadora sound myself and the insert it into the app so it can read the lines properly?

No there's no connection between notation and audio files. They're just audio clips you place along the timeline same as a DAW. You can also do basic editing on them.

Thanks a lot for sending the audio and PDF!! :)
As you can see, this are only open tone sounds all the way. Still, I wrote the tumbadora line in StaffPad and it reads decently well, considering it to be a machine. Nevertheless, I have no idea why StaffPad puts by default the "Hembra" in the place of the "Macho" and the "Macho" on the place of the "Hembra" which makes a big mess in sound and reverts the pattern. Do you happen to know how to fix this by any chance?

Thanks again for your help!

I've just checked again and I think maybe every 5th hit on the 'muted' congas could be a closed sound? Which is pretty useless.

Is the lower pitched drum normally notated above the higher pitched one? I don't really know much about how these are supposed to be notated. If you have staffpad on windows you could change it but it means editing the system staffpad files. It's more difficult on ios.
