VI-Control LLC. collects and retains data for the purpose of identifying you ("the user"). We ask for your email address and obtain your location and your IP address when you register. We may collect additional information for contests, surveys or other promotions sponsored by VI-Control.net and/or its promotional partners. We use your Personal Information to operate VI-Control’s services, to help identify you and gather broad demographic information. These data are collected and stored on our web server.
Public Forums
VI-Control offers “user provided” content. Users should be aware that when they voluntarily disclose Personal Information to other users or third parties on VI-Control, via Private Messaging, or through email, or outside of VI-Control, that information can be collected and used by others and may result in unsolicited messages from other members or parties. While VI-Control strives to protect your Personal Information, VI-Control cannot guarantee the security of any information that you transmit to VI-Control.

Security
To protect the security of your Personal Information, VI-Control limits access to user data to authorised VI-Control personnel. VI-Control will NOT disclose any Personal Information except as described above or in our Terms & Conditions. VI-Control may disclose user information, including demographic data, in an aggregated form that does not identify individual users in order to describe its services to prospective partners, advertisers and other third parties and for other lawful purposes. VI-Control may disclose information about you if we have a good faith belief that we are required to do so by law or legal process, to respond to claims, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of VI-Control.
Direct Mailings and "Opting Out"
When you register for an account on vi-control, you grant us permission to send site-related communications to you via email. This includes weekly newsletter, and in the future, might also use it for promotions. You may opt-out of these communications at any time via the privacy settings in your user account or via the ‘unsubscribe’ links in emails we send you.
Data Privacy
Vi-Control ONLY shares retained data with our licensed contractors on an “as needed” basis. We do not use subcontractors. Contractors with access to retained data include only the following:
- Customer support representatives, who may look up information in order to answer questions about a given query
- Accountants and bookkeepers, who aggregate order information to produce records for accounting and tax reporting purposes
- Web developers, who necessarily have access to our order and user database to perform upgrades and maintenance
These contractors are not permitted to share your data with any other parties. Your data is used by these contractors ONLY as necessary to complete the job functions above. Aside from these contractors, VI-Control also does NOT share retained data with any other entities or individuals.
Data Security
Your data is stored in our database, which is owned and operated by XenForo Ltd., a USA-based web hosting company. Our website is encrypted over secure HTTPS with an SSL certificate.
Cookies and Tracking Information
We use cookies on our site to save your login status. While logged into our site, you can access your account info, download previous purchases and updates, etc.
We use Google Analytics to monitor anonymized traffic information about how visitors arrive to our website, and what behaviors or actions take place on our website. We do not track actions outside of our own website.
Lastly, we use a “Facebook pixel” on our order completion page. This sends anonymized data to our Facebook business account indicating that a purchase was made. This data allows us to understand whether a purchase was made by clicking on one of our Facebook ads. The data sent to Facebook is anonymous and does not include personal or payment information.
