Black Friday is Here - 75% OFF | Loyalty Discounts (Audio Imperia)

Picked up a bunch of the AI stuff. Love it all. Not convinced about Solo yet. Listened through a lot of demos and walkthroughs...and, for example, this guy compares the Cinebrass solos (which I have) vs. AI Solo, and I think I have the solo area covered with other libraries - and Pacific Strings getting solo string component soon.

Here's the AI vs. CB solos - specifically the solo horn & descant horn:

There's something nice about the softer tone of AI Solo - although I prefer Cinebrass's brighter tone and dynamics. (Seriously, how did they nail that brass library so many years ago, it's incredible.) But I also like how easy AI's stuff is to use, and how everything is so well matched. Hmmm. Hmmm.

Yeah, Solo seems great, but those horns in Cinebrass...

Is there a new sheriff in town over at Audio Imperia? The weird pricing, insane email spam and some other things makes me wonder if there is a new management or something, because it feels different from before.

I think they just put a lot on their plate trying to launch a new website right before BF. I also work in retail and never make a major system change in our website or point of sale system during the 4th Quarter rush.

That said, I dipped my toe in the Audio Imperia pool with Areia Lite today. That pricing was easy to calculate! But the buying multiple things in the right order to get the best prices definitely feels too complicated.

I thought I was the only one who was confused by the AI pricing! I wrote to them about my issue and did get a couple of very friendly responses clearing up the misunderstanding. The pricing logic isn’t properly explained and then the actual glitches make it even worse!

Since I'm slightly confused about the overlapping content between the libraries, is there any good reason to get Areia if one already owns Nucleus or Jaeger (or both)? 143 bucks seems kinda expensive if you only get a few minor extra things.

I pulled the trigger on Areia, I never liked the strings in Nucleus/Jaeger that much, especially the legato. I feel Areia fills that well and replaced the string section in my template from Nucleus/Jaeger. For me it was worth it.

I have decided against it, but I tend to use the basic articulations anyway. I typically don't want to pay for mic stuff either. The sound is the same.
With that being said, I do enjoy having staccatos from Jaeger, after using only spiccatos from Nucleus.

At $79, Areia Lite is a really good deal for someone like me that is just starting to build up a string library. The interface is really clean and functional, and I like the sound of the modern mix a lot more in my DAW (with a different reverb) than I thought I would based on what I've heard in the demos.

Excited to see how the patches layer with the HOOPUS, Cinestrings, Vista, and NSS strings I've picked up over the past few months!

Comparing the overlapping content:

Is this video still relevant? There was a thread somewhere where Audio Imperia repeatedly said there is no content overlap in their libraries. Maybe I misunderstood and they meant from now on? To me it sounded like they were saying that newly recorded samples were swapped in where needed to eliminate any overlap 🤷‍♂️

Kind of wish the loyalty discount was a bit more for Jaeger(or Jaeger + Nucleus)
