Waverunner Audio - OMNIS Everything Bundle

So far Soundpaint have not strayed too far off the “never sales” path they announced. Although lately I did notice a tendency to create bundles with slightly lower cumulative prices which of course does punish loyal “day 1” purchasers. Of course sister company 8Dio is sort of the worst example of how not to do sales, lol. No idea which strategy works better for them, both in the short and long run.
Soundpaint ran a 15% coupon sale a few months back which pissed me off because I believed their 'no sales ever' marketing, so was buying expansions as they were released. I would have saved a good chunk of money if I'd have waited. Anyway, I've since held off on any more purchases from them until they run another.

I just got another coupon today for a Soundpaint library. Likewise, how many times has Unify been on sale after John said it never would be? I never believe when a company tells me their stuff will never be on sale. ;)

The hybrid crossgrade voucher? I don't have an issue with those at all, it was the 15% sitewide sale that pissed me off.

Quiting sales and setting a fixed price means you no longer find the dev or product name
in the sale section of forums and SNS. Less people can reach and spread the products..
You're right that there's definitely less word of mouth and chatter about the deals, especially at this time of year (where everyone is out looking for a great deal). I've been wondering if the order counter works on the web site, because it's been holding at 135 remaining for such a long time, and I honestly don't know how this hasn't sold out already. It's a lovely collection of instruments.

I really like the idea of offering up products at a fair price.
I like loyalty pricing schemes that help previous product owners feel like they're part of something when a new product comes out.
I also like getting a deal on things (who doesn't?)

So yeah, as a consumer, I appreciate the very occasional sale (usually easier done as a loyalty discount) -- or a bundling discount. Anyway, I am looking forward to the future releases in this series!

Sorry everyone, it's been too long - wanted to make a video just to let you know what's been going on and what's coming up. Bit of a bumpy few years, nothing major but enough to chuck a spanner in the works for me grand plans.

TLDW: 300-come-OMNIS launched at a time of great excitement on the verge of massive sampling projects that fell through due to the pandemic. During that time things were a little rough personally and I didn't function too well. At times of perceived stability I'd jump back in but couldn't pull off what I set out to. Things are better and currently working on a re-launch end of November with a new website and the launch of the Alder Violin, Viola, Cello and Bass and take things from there. Trumpets, Solo Tuba coming; Alium, Synth Atlantic, Stak'd updates coming, new libraries including an exciting collaboration coming; relaunch of the free libraries coming, but all focus at present is on the Alder series and website relaunch.

The MacBook Pro will be ordered upon completion of the spaces so will be up-to-date. I'm wanting to move away from having sales and just having a set price ala ValhallaDSP ("Everything we make is always the same price - 24/7/365 - so you can always get it when you need it."). I'm not a fan of sales but it's a risky move, so that's a little side-update. So it's possible this will be the last sale (will certainly be the last giveaway of this calibre).

A sincere thank you for remarkable patience, understanding, concern and for your kind words on the libraries, and thank you for the nudge to say something. Catch you soon,

Ross

Sad this never ended up developing out. I was excited for some additional Adler articulations, especially the back and forth legatos.

I hope so too. I’ve been in contact with Ross briefly over the holidays and he did inform me that unfortunately health issues have (again) held him back from the announced release plans. So I hope he is feeling better and that 2024 is going to be an overall better year for him.
