Sordina 2: Explore New Horizons with Brass and String Mutes!

Different topic: Would you mind to rethink the download limit? I always forget to uninstall and install Sordina via Rhapsody in case of an update. I always download the file from the web site first, realising this procedure does not work (at least for me). This way, I spend three(?) downloads today instead of just one (although it should have been two).
I tend to agree, a limit of 15 might be plenty, but only if the install procedure is working flawlessly.
Counting down the the number of possible downloads so rapidly for every update makes me nervous...

If you're using the latest version of Rhapsody you shouldn't need to uninstall. You can just click the update button, which will show when an update is available.

Don't be nervous, if you ever run out and need more just ask. The only reason for the limit is for rare instances where either something goes wrong and a crazy number of downloads occur, or someone shares their account details online and loads of people try to download. Each download costs me money so I basically just want to prevent spam downloads.

Thanks a lot for your answer, I see.
Good to know. I did not install the Rhapsody update since I am always reluctant when it comes to updates and the pop up window read something like ‚MacOs fix‘.

Regarding the CSV file with the mute numbers. I have been attempting to CC switch between the mutes...sometimes it works, and sometimes it won't switch. Also, the numbers do not seem correct. When attempting to set the violin, the CSV states CC#0 with a value of 2 and CC#32 with a value of 6 as stated below, it never switches to those values.

262
2
6
Violin/Orchestral/Tourte 5

But it will never send that value...am I missing something?

Has anyone tried using this on the VSL Cornet? I overlooked that one use case I may have for this as Cornet samples are super rare and muted Cornet would be even rarer.

When developers offer free updates, they are paying money for every update. This is why I don't mind paying for major updates. It is a way of contributing to the costs of any minor updates.

Or, to put it another way, with the free update to Sordina 2, I feel that I owe it to Librewave to buy another of David's libraries when I can! Fortunately, they are all really, really good.

I'm not sure what Patchwork is and I haven't used VEP so I can't give you a definite answer on this. But I believe there are some other people here using Dorico, I think with CC automation,
1. Dorico has CC automation, but not for mixer plugins yet.
2. VEP is a must to familiarize yourself with (ex-VEP user here)

I guess I'll have to hold off on Sordina. It's lame, but it is what it is.

I have Sordina working in Dorico with VE Pro. I have expression maps changing the mutes, so markings like con sord., senza sord, stopped, etc will automatically give me the correct sound.

I don't have Patchwork and not sure why you would need anything other than VE Pro itself.

I have Sordina, and was attempting to set up my Dorico expression maps, but the CSV with the banks and programs does not seem to align, else I do not understand. From what I understand, CC#0 changes the bank, and values appear to range from 0 - 2, and then CC#32 for the patch. When I attempt to select CC#0 value 2, and CC#32 value 06, nothing happens or I end up at 0 and 6.

Do you mind showing a screenshot of your map and your automation in VEP values as well? I think I have it set correctly since it does change when reading the value I have set, just not the correct patch, and not all the time.

I would, but I'm out of town for the next week, I'm not back at my computer until one week from now. I can get it then.

I don't have VEP anymore. Went the StaffPad route. Dorico is finally getting enough right, and enough right in each update, that it seems worth switching.
