Crow Hill Now Live - Free Vaults Membership!!!

What I really like about the Vaults-Concept is, how easy it is to build Soundscapes.

Many other Companies can learn a lot from Crow Hill when it comes to offering great and easy possibilities of Sounddesign inside the Player only with a few functions.
 
Wonderful, a fomo subscription model. Of all the ways you can make subscription models worse, this one does sound like the most horrible.

And of course the brainwashed (tm) are going to find this wonderful.

Eh? When you say subscription you mean sticking your name on a mailing list.
This is all 100% free. No purchase necessary.
Do you think it's something else?

To be honest this cause me exactly zero fomo. What FOMO is here? There is no fear to miss out since these are free forever in vaults. Discounts and time limited vouchers are causing FOMO.

exactly. A forever free product, always accessible, don't need to do anything to get it other than sign up to a site or list. For Free.
And that's enough to get some people angry. The mind boggles. Seriously.

I keep reading on here about paid subscription vaults, yet I've followed Crow Hill since day one, watched all their videos, livestreams and never seen a hint of any talk of a paid vault subscription.
Can someone link me to this? I must be missing the ovious.
Sure they will sell individual products - String Murmurations being the only one for now - but where is this chat about paid subscriptions?

Who here actually loves a paid subscription model?

Even if it's a good deal in the long run it's very hard for me, psychologically, to like the idea of money going out the window every day. I'm more of the "buy once, cry once" type consumer.

I'm sure this ship has sailed but please CH do not do subscription! Big deterrent for me. At the very least let us non-subscribers pay a premium for ordering "à la cart".
 
Free is free. I like the vault showings so far. Please don’t let Edward Snowden use all the personal data I forfeited to get a cool string pad.
 
Just one issue : do you know any way way of uninstalling some instruments. I definitely don't need the piano for exemple.

Unfortunately not.
It's a major design flaw if you ask me: libraries are saved in huge blobs, not one per library. This will make it a nightmare to maintain, and no flexibility to choose which libraries to install/uninstall.

Let's hope Crow Hill will refactor Vaults at some point, perhaps before the end of the beta.
