Well, it was a good choice.Yes, it's a tele. Steve Cropper also often played a tele. Junior Lowe at Muscle Shoals too, I believe. it seemed like the most versatile way to go. We used Di Marzio Area T bridge pickups because, for sampling, hum is not a good thing.
The muted/ghost notes in this library are actually sampled at-pitch across the whole range of the instrument (with RRs), because muted strings really do sound different depending on their position on the neck. So they're not just "noise" samples. Especially for octaves, the moments in a rhythmic pattern when the strings are muted (but in the same fretting as the open notes) is really almost equally important as the open ones. We wanted the pitch/harmonics of the muted notes to perfectly match the open notes so you can play convincing patterns that pedal on one pitch.
That’s really good to know,one hesitation I have had is everything sounds a bit too clean for my general leanings.
