Wait, how is it possible that there isn't a single video featuring the chamber strings in the new engine on YT?!
Not sure if this the new version or not. But it sounds fantastic.Post some examples pls....

Ahh, yes. Didn't notice that. I have both the Kontakt version and the new version and to my ears the new version sounds even better. On youtube it says the video is 7 years old, so probably not the new version
Does sound great though!
I would like try this definitely. Probably very good news for Kontakt users - putting some pressure on the Goliaths. I haven't had a chance to scour this thread but maybe it's permissible for someone to answer how this relates to HISE. Someone here mentioned it so I looked it up on the forum but I don't have clarity on it. I think INCIRIOS is an entirely novel effort done from the ground up versus using JUCE, but I could be mistaken.
This is what I found here on HISE. Maybe it's not relevant here but maybe it is.
HISE as Alternative to Kontakt (Split from NI-Partnership Thread)
NOTE FROM MODERATOR: This discussion originally started in the Native Instruments - An Eco-System for Your Sounds thread, but merits its own thread. Lindon had mentioned HISE as an option, then Mario responded with the following: Don't you need to own JUCE (which is €1000) if you want to...vi-control.net
If somebody has the new upgrade could you post a single legato violin line? Bonus points for viola and cello
I think that incirios is fantastic and hope it gets used a lot more. But at this point, i don't think it will happen soon. The documentation for the developer side is not there yet.Lets hope that sample library developers start endorsing Incirios and creating new content for it.
there's an enormously long thread about HISE compared to kontakt( that's been ongoing for over 3 years now) if you want to know more - maybe start there:I would like try this definitely. Most of the initial release was just to get things out there, check for any potential compatibility issues/bugs, and ensure stability. There's one last thing with stability I'm addressing and I'm combining this with a bit of a skin update to help with both accessibility and giving it a bit more of a unique styling too.I think that incirios is fantastic and hope it gets used a lot more. The VI leg transition is clearlysmoother with the kontakt version. That's solo/isolated. i wonder what happens when used with other instrument?Sure thing. This is Incirios Chamber Strings first violins out of the box. The only processing is the limiter from VSL Vienna Suite to bring the level up. Tough an a bit unfair really, because it's just one pass without any correction. So this is basically what you get when playing it live:
Incirios Vl 1

For comparison, the exact same midi with Light & Sound Chamber Strings Kontakt version out of the box:
Light and Sound Kontakt Vl 1

The pre-set mic selections are different between Kontakt and Incirios out of the box, so the sound is a bit different because of that.
And here is the same midi rendered with the Incirios violas, and celli. I did some very small adjustments to the midi to make it fit these sections a bit better. In reality I would play these in anew, so it's again not quite a real life example.

I'm really glad to hear that. I love incirios and also want to try to make my own instruments in it. And yes, it is stable, and working very smoothly, so good job! Most of the initial release was just to get things out there, check for any potential compatibility issues/bugs, and ensure stability. There's one last thing with stability I'm addressing and I'm combining this with a bit of a skin update to help with both accessibility and giving it a bit more of a unique styling too.
Beyond that there's a lot more coming, while the initial release was to get the sample side of things up and running, the long-term plan includes a lot more for users and developers.
The good news is it's stable and performing as expected which is great, and honestly, that's what any developer will always be most nervous about when it comes to a new release - it's much easier to add to an existing platform than to take that first step
Are you saying legato transition is smoother with the Kontakt version, or 'smoother THAN with the Kontakt version'?The VI leg transition is clearlysmoother with the kontakt version. That's solo/isolated. i wonder what happens when used with other instrument?
Yes the kontakt leg transition is smoother in the example posted by muk.Are you saying legato transition is smoother with the Kontakt version, or 'smoother THAN with the Kontakt version'?
Yes it's a bit weird but it sounds cool. Good thing it works because people would called it the Unserious Sampler and that would be a disaster. For me INCIRIOS (based on that) is smoother sounding but it doesn't mean a lot because I disavow all knowledge of the secrets behind INCIRIOS (as if I had any - it just sounds like a mysterious name - like the name of a Blue Oyster Cult album.)
