RELEASED: INCIRIOS - Next Generation Sampler & Audio Engine + Solo Woodwinds + Intro prices

And I wonder if that is because I am running this under Monterey?
I’m pretty sure Monterey’s got nothing to do with your problems, quietmind. I’ve been running Incirios all through the beta-test on a Monterey machine and never experienced a single issue. Literally: none.

But again: I’ve always used and tested the software as an AU-plugin in Logic. Until yesterday, I wasn’t even aware that there was this “Ventura or higher” OS-requirement on Mac.

OK I was able to download everything via the player plugin even though I have MacOS Monterey. Unlike the standalone app that would not run at all. So that was nice. But there are a lot, and I mean a ton, of glitches when playing, e.g. sustains that quit sounding after 50 milliseconds even though I am holding the keys down, all kinds of odd things. Can you drop an email to [email protected] with your system specs, audio settings (buffer size / sample rate) and the settings in incirios (preload size / num streaming threads etc)

Pizzicato Thread here - Comparing the Original Kontakt and the New Light and Sound Chamber Strings II

And these low shorts!

Sorry to post this on the commercial thread I can put it somewhere else if wanted.

Overall I love this library - did the original too. But it is apparent that they put a lot of work into optimizing these samples. The special noise in the Pizzicato - and the longs wow - it sounds like real players. Shorts pop too! These are all default mic settings too. Many more options.

The Dryness is awesome too - Dry and still musical! Imagination is the limiting factor on which hall, parlor, or airplane hanger to put them in!

I ran this on Windows 11 Cakewalk, Studio One, Cubase, and Unify ... cannot replicate those issues. Maybe then it is some other factor not in my setup.

I had this happen too. I just put a few one shot samples in there and sometimes i'd get extremely loud glitches happening. There's also some UI inconsistencies that i hope gets looked into, but thats more of a minor thing that i'm sure will improve. Overall this seems very nice but unfortunately with the noise blasts i'll wait for a fix.
After messing with it for a while, I found out that this only happens when there's more than one mic position enabled.

Too bad the Chamber Strings no longer include the ensemble patch. I liked to play that.
Also, in Windows 11 while the stand alone app works fine, it doesn't show up in the list of apps. Are other people also seeing this? It's not exactly a drama, of course, just a minor 1 minute annoyance.

Me too. Windows 10

Yes, same here.
Although, you can go to Program Files/INCIRIOS, right click, and send to start menu.

i'm getting the stop/drop notes issues with FL studio as well. I'm on Windows 11 and i'm running the samples from SSD. It's not usable at all. hopefully there's a workaround or quick fix on this.

Here's a sample which is without the "Zero Ram" function.

Here's another sample which is with the "Zero Ram" function.

Any chance you're using an audio buffer of 2048? If so try reducing it, or instead go to the INCIRIOS burger menu at the top and change "Preload Size" to 8kb. If not, please reach out to [email protected] with details of your setup

i've even tried on my other DAW machine with 512 and 1024 audio buffer setting and with the suggested settings but still couldn't work. i'll send a support email.

Custom install option doesn't work (at least on windows 11). Chose "USERNAME\Audio" and it only put the un-installer there, putting the stand-alone app in the default "Program Files" location.

Also, the font-rendering, at least on windows 11, is awful.

Hi, what issues are you having with the fonts? From the screenshot this looks intended for a small screenshot, and for un-downloaded instruments. Undownloaded instruments are faded out intentionally to separate between downloaded and non downloaded ones. Is it that you have an issue with the size of the fonts? (this can be adjusted in the burger menu at the top left and change the scale factor, which will size up the whole UI), or this is an accessibility issue thing and something like a light mode would help?

in Zero RAM mode What kinds of latency and minimum buffer stats are we talking of getting to in optimal hardware conditions here?

Clearly just using Zero RAM is going to place more load on the CPU and IO hardware and operating system resources when compared to getting data directly from preload RAM buffers - and lowering buffer size makes that worse -

For piano if course a v low latency ( hence audio buffer size ) is very important for playability ( in live play mode ) whereas for playback of DAW project MIDI, 512 or higher would be fine.

Got the email. Legacy upgrade on chamber strings. Quite a nice player, with a good amount of control. Sounds better than the original library, I think. And the original sounded damn good.

Really love the ability to create your own mic mix and save it. Good stuff.

@INCIRIOS I spoke with Paul (this may or may not be you) via email back in 2022 regarding the promised updates to the Concert Grand, and this is what was mentioned:

We're actually in beta for our other libraries on our new sampler, and updates to the concert grand are included, while it didn't allow me to get back in the studio, a new version of the piano will be released once we have finished the extra recordings - hopefully not long, there will be a bit of a rebranding, but definitely excited to get this out there!

I wanted to know, does this update include new recordings? What improvements have been made to the library? I would definitely like to know since I don't have unlimited bandwidth. Can't wait to hear back!

Downloaded Violins 1 and had a look in the folder. Can I delete the TMP files?

incirios tmp.PNG
Yes, you can delete the tmp files - if they're left behind it means the app didn't have permission to delete the temporary files used while downloading them. Running as admin might be recommended in the future if you want to avoid that from happening, could be related to the folder it was downloaded to having strict permissions regarding file deletion too, but yes, the .incimono and .inci files are the only ones that will be used.
