As well as the monthly presets for Omnisphere and Pigments, this month includes Bazille as the U-he synth of the month, and bx_oberhausen as the monthly Wildcard synth! Here's what you can get your hands on -

Hey all, here's my latest Synth Vault tutorial - this time I'm deconstructing the Omnisphere preset Bits & Bells. Don't forget, you can download this preset for free from the Synth Vault until 30th June! To find out more and download it for free, head to http://synthvault.net

I'm very excited to announce that the Synth Vault presets for July are now live!

As today marks one year of the Synth Vault, I teamed up with legendary sound designer Francis Preve to create a special pack of 10 presets, Preve x Wolfe, for Serum. These can now be downloaded for free from the Synth Vault member's area, along with the regular 5 free presets for Omnisphere, 5 free presets for Pigments and 5 free presets for this month's U-he synth - Diva.

On top of this, I've also launched the brand new Synth Vault Community - a place where members can talk about synthesis, sound design and music production in a safe space. This can now be accessed by heading to the Synth Vault member's area and going to the Community tab. I hope to see you there 🙂

Hi all,

The Synth Vault presets for August are now live! This month you can download 5 presets for Spectrasonics Omnisphere, 5 presets for Arturia Pigments, 5 presets for this month's U-he synth Repro-5, and 5 presets for Newfangled Audio’s Pendulate, the wildcard synth for this month.
You can download all of this for free by heading to http://synthvault.net!

Hi all, just a heads up that the Synth Vault presets for September are now live! This month we have the usual free presets for Omnisphere and Pigments, as well as 5 free presets for U-he Repro-1 and 5 free presets for NI Massive X. There's some great presets in there this month, if I may say so myself! 🙂 Just head to http://synthvault.net to download them for free!

Hi @tomwolfe

I really like the concept of Synth Vault and I really appreciate you making these free presets available for your customers but I’m admittedly a slacker and I am so behind installing libraries & software that I have never accessed anything from Synth Vault.
Since you are making these available, would you ever consider keeping the samples available for slackers like me can access a bunch of samples in one swoop? Maybe for the current year.
I can’t be the only customer who would love to have access to Synth Vault patches we missed,in my case it’s since your Birthday sale last year, lol
I don’t know if this would be a problem for you logistically or a potential piracy issue but since we are members of the Synth Vault Club I would love for these not to be as time dependent to access.
Thanks
KG

I have most of them but I, too, have missed a few if you release them when I'm having one of my periodic bouts of inhumanity. (I'm not a werewolf.)

Glad to hear you’re enjoying the vault! Currently, past presets are available by heading to the Preset Archive tab in the members area. Most of them are available for a small fee, half of which goes towards a brilliant charity I support, Nordoff Robbins, who provide music therapy here in the UK.

I always liked the idea of the Synth Vault presets only being available in short bursts, as I felt that it makes it a bit more special for members when new presets become available. But, I’ve had a lot of calls for older presets to be made free permanently. It’s something I’m considering, so if there’s enough people add their voices to the crowd then it’s something I’ll look at starting next year…

Is it periodic bouts of inhumanity or periodic bouts of humanity? asking for a friend……….

I've just put out this tutorial where I use the September Pigments preset Sines Of Life to demonstrate how to make a shimmer reverb in Pigments. This preset is still available to download for free from http://synthvault.net until the end of the month! :)

Hi everyone,

I wanted to add artwork to the third party banks in Pigments.
Maybe it is old news, but I found this video:

(thanks to Mistral Unizion Music _ Jonathan Bougie-Lauzon)

The process is very easy.
The path for the artwork on a Mac is this:
Mac HD/Library/Arturia/Shared/images/vc8_images/packs/
The file (.png) must have the exact same name as the bank in Pigments.

I also made a simple artwork file for Tom Wolfe's SynthVault.
It looks like this:

Pigemts.png

This is the artwork I made (just put it in the directory, I posted above):

Tom Wolfe's SynthVault.png

I hope this is useful.
