Wave Alchemy Revolution/Drumvolution are so good

ohhhhhh wow. Hard to pass on BeatLab at $59 if that's the case!
Exactly my thought - plus you can randomize these samples for kit creation in XO or Atlas 2, if you have either of those programs. Plus the TRIAZ kit randomization function is also great and will be much easier to use with non-TRIAZ samples after the native version is released.

Absolutely agreed, a native version will be most welcome.

And dammit, I didn't realize BeatLab was going to be so easy to integrate into Triaz... OK, Wave Alchemy, have some more of my money! (I'm not mad, they deserve it. So glad I finally learned about this developer!)

As someone who relies heavily on Komplete Kontrol, I'm probably one of the few not looking forward to the native version of TRIAZ if it will include things not in the Kontakt version.

Great drum VI though. It's 4 instrument slots, the ability to save kits and patterns independently, and XO's organizer and randomizer away from being perfect.

I just picked up Revolution. I thought about Triaz but it would give me the same headache that Battery (and most of NI products TBH) does - just too much choice with obscure (at least to me) names, makes it hard to find anything. And that's really the whole reason I started looking outside of the Battery library. I think I have all the manipulation tools I could ever want in my DAW, so having a small selection of varied electronic kits works best for me. I worry about long term compatibility with Kontakt, with it being kind of old now, but it was £45 so I think I can get over it!

Nothing wrong with picking up Revolution - I think it's fantastic. And it does the classic drum machine thing, whereas TRIAZ is more about what WA calls "modern drums."

BTW, as I've dug deeper into the TRIAZ sample collection, I've become more convinced that one of its greatest features is the interesting & weird Foley sounds. Lots of great stuff there to add spice to beats.

Another recent experiment, this time using Stepic to trigger random combinations of bars from several pre-programmed patterns in the TRIAZ Pattern Bank:

I skipped Triaz because I have 80GB of drum samples and Atlas to arrange them. Plus Drumvolution, Revolution, and Drum Designer, and Addictive Drums2, and... etc.

Revolution will be massively updated and expanded (~40 classic drum machines) at the end of 2023 per Wave Alchemy. It will also be native, not Kontakt.

For clarity, I understand that Revolution 2 will be a sequel rather than an update to the current Revolution. Have you heard differently?

Triaz + Beat Lab + 'free' Pulse in Cart @ ~ $142. Revolution looked good earlier, but not sure now.
Worried that any of these may not be used effectively; as keyboardist, mostly comfortable with ADD 2 + expansions. So many 'preferred' drum /perc libs out there, but usually lost during trials /demos. 😳
Mostly need good kits + grooves of many genres.
No chops to build kits and customize individual drums properly.

Just depends on if you want the foundation- or supplement - of your beat to be classic drum machines or not. They’re better overall than the pack that you can get for AD2.

Believe so. Gotta commit to different direction and adding Revolution takes me to ~ $205.

Need to narrow this down to best current choice. Have had some exposure to:
UVI - Beatbox Anthology 2 + Drum Designer now @ same cost.
Melda - MDrummer - now on sale
Drum Core 4 Prime

I have Drum Designer and never use it. I'd choose Triaz over it.

A viable alternative is using Atlas and getting classic drum samples from Wave Alchemy or Samples from Mars, etc.

Brief trial with Atlas long ago. Just installed Atlas 2 trial and will spend serious time. Got manual and noticed tutorials on Site. THX for reminding. May finally help me raise the bar. 🙏🏻
