David, have you formed a complete opinion about the new strings library? I am thinking of getting it and if I do, it will be my first Chamber String Library, never had one before.I’ve been testing the library.

It's great, I think it's the probably the best sounding string library I have. It's got more ambience than a library recorded on a stage designed for film music (like Berlin Strings or CSS) so I would say it's not a primary string library but a great second string library if you're doing film music. Then again, if you're scoring a period drama or even anything modern that calls for a "contemporary string sound" with a big ambience, it's really great for that. The amount of ambience sounds similar to what you'd get at Air Lyndhurst, so it's certainly usable. I already used it on a Hallmark Christmas movie and I blended it with CSS and it works very well.David, have you formed a complete opinion about the new strings library? Thanks for replying, nice to see this from you! One thing I have heard about about string sections of this size is that depending on the strength or weakness of vibrato, it can sound thin if the Vibrato is weak. How would you rate the amount of vibrato on the main articulation's legato and sustains? It's great, I think it's the probably the best sounding string library I have. Also, you get the first chairs too and they are just as good, and you can write some stuff that sounds totally realistic.
The one thing I haven't delved into are the special articulations, of which there are many, but to me it's worth it just for the core melodic stuff. So, the traditional melodic sections aren't watered down in any way, they're full featured.
Two vibrato styles, but what’s unique in this library, at pp there’s very little vibrato and as you increase the mod wheel to invoke the higher dynamics they play more vibrato. Makes it very expressive. Thanks for replying, nice to see this from you! Awesome!! Thanks again for your thoughts, I now wait for the walkthrough videos. They said that both was coming out seemingly last Friday for the ensembles and today for the soloes, but haven't seen them. Maybe they were talking about this week. Two vibrato styles, but what’s unique in this library, at pp there’s very little vibrato and as you increase the mod wheel to invoke the higher dynamics they play more vibrato. As far as the size it doesn’t really sound like a small chamber ensemble, it sounds like a larger section, probably also because of the large space. The Celli and basses are where you will perhaps notice the smaller section compared to something symphonic.
Heres a direct link to the database: Link
EDIT: Ok, here's a Google sheet I've created. If you're interested in contributing values for some instruments (and know how to use a Spreadsheet), let me know and I can give you write access.

Original post: Is there a database anywhere of negative track delay values? Going through my template, figuring it out, it seems like there ought to be a resource for this - a Google doc or something? Or is everyone just figuring it out on their own? I know some of the manufacturers post their delays (Cinematic Studio Series) but others don't. And some libraries have different delays per instrument.
Maybe there's a way we can create a shared doc or something?

lol I love this thread because it shows the libraries i should NEVER use. I have more things to doDear @Sample library developers
How about including this information in the GUI
Or just in the manual or in a text file at the very least?
Makes zero sense you don't
This thread wouldn't excist if you simply provided the information with the product
I second that motionWould anyone be able to share the delays they use for HOOPUS, I’d really appreciate it.
Yes many libraries have the same delays for all the shorts. So you could do one track for legato and one track for marcato, staccato, and staccatissimo for example. Is this useful to me even if I use instrument Multi’s instead of individual tracks? I can only apply a single track delay on the multi, but each articulation will need a different delay.
Ah thank you, but I actually hold all my articulations in a single track per instrument: longs, shorts, special techniques, etc.Yes many libraries have the same delays for all the shorts. So you could do one track for legato and one track for marcato, staccato, and staccatissimo for example.
