Performance Samples discussion thread

I have been spending some time with this library, it is very thoughtfully done, not perfect, but nearly there, and I think it will replace others as my primary.

It blends very well with Vista, which is handy in its own right.

Here is some Wagner, was going for a darkish deep tone.
CCQ welcome
(hopefully, you can all hear beyond the YT compression)

It does well here, but its time for strings that can do "Das Liebersverbot" too. 😉

This is incredible, really enjoyed it very much!

I did one more test before the Wagner, this is from Tchaikovsky Sym. 5:II
went for a more open tone with this one

Good to hear this working so well with the Infinite Libraries. Back when i bought Pacific Strings it was in the hopes that it could fill out the gab while waiting for infinite strings. Haven't had that much of a chance to use them together because of work, life, bands, other more electronic projects etc. but sounds lovely!

So if I understand correctly, the solo strings have same note RRs and portamento that can be triggered via velocity. I didn't know about this until the recent videos - was this announced somewhere? In particular, the portamento part ...

RE the same note thing, i wonder if it is a rebow/same note repetitions mechanism like in the Ensemble strings using the sustain pedal. Seems likely considering it is the same series.

Not sure about the portamento, as the Ensembles don't have that.

This inspired me to try some Pacific + Vista layering myself. Since Pacific, I've not really been playing around with the other PS String libraries.
Also pleasantly surprised by the Infinite libraries in the context of your mock up. Well done!!

Portamento will likely be triggered by playing at low velocity. I'm happy this is included here as it's missing in the ensembles.

Can anyone give me the rundown for the solo strings? How different will they be from the Vista 2 solo strings (pretty sure those are included with Vista 2)? And are there multiple dynamic layers and legato types? From the last 2 videos it seems like velocity triggers different legato types but it could also just be triggered by certain intervals.

This thread is like Schrödinger's cat - as long as I don't open the thread, something might be out already - when I open it up, the wave function collapses and... there's nothing out yet :emoji_stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I'm good, happy to wait until its all ready...
