Thank you for the feedback! I didn't use a compressor on the strings bus but I have an instance of Ozone 10 on the master to match the overall sound profile to the original - maybe the Maximiser is what you're hearing.

I've finished my first track with Pacific Strings and love em - so easy to use! Here they are with some Synchron Woodwinds, Synchron Percussion and Synchron Brass (I might have overused 7H here, but I was going for dreamy sound, also some heavy limiting in loud sections). Waiting for Pacific line to expand

Finally got Kontakt 7, Pacific, and the solo freebies from Performance Samples and made a wee doodle, really love how the solos brings the strings to life, and how big, ambient and wide Pacific sounds. Really looking forward for the actual Pacific Solo Strings to compliment the ensemble library, but the freebies are incredible already it baffles me that they're even free

They are completely separate in the sense that they are earlier prototypes recorded as a proof of concept if you will. Jasper ultimately decided to reiterate on the concept to further improve the solo instruments and was kind enough to make the interim results available as a free instrument.
So the freebies aren’t cut-down versions of the solo instruments now slated for a May release. At least not in the most literal way. They do give you a good feel for how PS instruments “behave” and “sound”, I’d argue.

Cool, thanks! I was holding off on downloading them for the full release but then realized that they may be separate, so no reason to hold off I guess.
I realize that you keep referring to "freebies", "them" and "solo strings".
Are you perhaps including the free violin with the Cello?
I don't think the free violin is representative of the Pacific Solo Violin that's to come.
That was just a freebie that was available some time ago, expired and was brought back.
