Hi everyone
Since I got into scoring, I can't find this style of expressive violins/cellos in any library, with big jumps in pitch like Sawano does.
For example:
00:12 onwards (and 4:24)
00:32 onwards

I know he use 8dio mostly for strings, and i know that any solo violin/cello VST can do this with a pitch wheel in MIDI, but it doesn’t sounds like this, I can’t find something that do things like that, maybe cinestring solo?? I would love to know your opinions about.
Yea I could see something like this being pretty tough with a strictly sampled instrument, considering how highly expressive it is, and sounds like some pretty atypical articulations/playing style (at least atypical by Western standards), not that I'm an expert.
The sound you're going for seems similar to what I'd be interested in as well, namely from this (non-Sawano) track:
I've been wondering if a sampled instrument such as Red Room Gypsy Fiddle could approximate this kind of sound:
Traveler Series Gypsy Fiddle - Red Room Audio
Passionate Gypsy fiddle library for Kontakt recorded in Sofia, Bulgaria with 20 core & extended articulations and 15 traditional ornaments, plus 650 Phrases & FX! 4 performance modes, customizable double stops, adjustable bow attacks and rebowing options & more! Features TACT articulation...

But yea otherwise agree with @Snow Flake that something like SWAM (which I think is completely physically modeled?) or Sample Modeling (hybrid sample + physical modeling) might be a better way to go for something like this.
P.S. I think what Snow Flake meant was that 1) a physically modeled (or hybrid sample + physical modeling approach) stereotypically gives greater flexibility/control (though arguably at the expense of tone) compared to 2) a purely sampled* instrument. 1) Relies on like, math, to try to sound like a violin, whereas 2) records a real violin.
Happy New Year All!
