Audiobro Eternity Choir Library

There are still no video reviews if this library unfortunately. Could anyone who has purchased Eternity share their experiences now that some time has passed?
You're right, there need to be more videos explaining the details of this library. I'm still at the beginning of understanding it but have gotten some really good results already.

LookAhead especially needs some serious patching or at least a very detailed video to explain its quirks because it is really frustrating to use right now.

However, you don't need LookAhead. Midi-nudging is nowhere near as bad as in EW Hollywood Choirs because the syllables and consonants are much more consistent. The Phrase builder is also amazing. Much better and more detailed (where it counts) than EastWest's WordBuilder.

And the sound, of course. It's very versatile, can do epic stuff, can do polyphonic classical stuff because of good crisp shorts and has an amazing mellow tone for romantic choir music.

I gotta admit, I had a rough start with it but I'm starting to like it even more, now that I slowly figure out how to use the library effectively.

Yeah we got to get some video reviews. With all sincerity I have to say and I do own the expanded version of this. This is by far the most dynamic realistic sounding library. There's so much life. It's one of the first choir libraries I've ever experienced that doesn't seem all synthesized and processed. It's a great hall and the way that they did the microphones and the microphone options with the expanded version.

The implementation of the legato and the alteration that you could do with all the different prefixes and suffixes. The shorts are punchy to soft. Good dynamic layers. Quite a bit of tonal change soft to loud.

This is a professional tool. And as such one must train themselves and how to be able to use all of this. I'm not sure that key switches are the best way of going through it but they are there. Working with multiple instances is perhaps a must.

I think it's surpasses the children's choir in the quality. I hope that they revisit the children's choir with the microphone selections that you get with eternity.

Maybe I will try a video review I've never done that before I think I've got video capture software. Let me know if there's anything specific to include. And I'll try to get to it this weekend.

It’s a very flexible choir. That means you can make it sound less than stellar. It’s maybe even easy to make it sound less than stellar. But it also allows for extensive shaping, more so than any other choir I own.

It’s also not an instrument that allows for an easy walkthrough. It’s very deep. It has a lot of options. It’s not always easy to know how to control. Not all of its functionality is well documented. Much requires knowing how other Audiobro libraries work.

I’ve been working with it on and off since it came out and I feel like I’m only scratching the surface of its capabilities.

It seems that the intro price is still there, does anybody know if there's any price difference between "I buy Genesis first then Eternity + expansion" vs "I buy the ultimate choir bundle in one go"? Personally I am planning to first grab Genesis since it suits my needs more for now. But I am not sure how much the loyalty discount of Eternity is provided to a Genesis owner.

As usual, I have recorded a ton of content exploration and so on. But I've not published anything because along the way there has been a lot of exploration and "finding my way" through the instrument which is ... let's admit ... boring to watch.

So, I am torn between posting snippets and short explorations, which don't address a large audience's desires for a "full review" ... and doing a "full" video.

YouTube Video snippets and short explorations can be hit or miss with various audiences, and sometimes get slightly negative feedback because it wasn't a "fair test" or didn't fulfill some random viewer's expectations ("you used your own reverb, what's it sound like with the reverb off?") etc.

I do keep returning to Eternity to try to find some grand, expansive, "complete" viewpoint that appeals to a large audience segment and thoroughly explores many facets, pros and cons, and feels like a worthwhile "review" or "walkthrough" style video, that is helpful, educational, and "evergreen" ... but this time of year (Feb) I am often swamped with projects. I missed my window in December to publish. I usually have a break during the Holidays, to play around and experiment, etc.

I think @Casiquire summed it up a few pages ago, saying how deep instruments take time.

I also posted an audio example in the member's compositions and mock-ups section btw.

It's a longer piece with quite a bit of choir usage and delves more in the later romantic period. Just shows how versatile this library is.

I already explained in the thread. The workflow is not ideal, yet. It took me longer than anticipated. However, I say "yet", because I can see a much faster workflow in the future. It's a complicated library but everything's there and it's so much more consistent than in the other choir libraries I know (the EW libraries and Voxos).
