I don't notice a difference. It looks like the font weight was quite low originally.I'd have to look more closely tomorrow, but for now can you take a look now and tell me if you see a difference?

I'm sure you know this, but the bold are posts you didn't read yet. See that little blue dot?
Yes, thanks, I do know that It was the degree of bold that made it look 'wrong' to me. I didn't realize what it was until you lowered the bold. Much better nowI'm sure you know this, but the bold are posts you didn't read yet. See that little blue dot?
Try refreshing now. I can't reduce the weight too much but i took it down a notch.
While we're at it with site stuff, whenever I add the "thumbs up"-icon, it makes a newline.
Can that be changed so thumbs up-icon acts like all the other icons do?
Ah! So that's why. What if whenever one inserts a thumbs up icon, it's placed on the current line, but then since there's not room for it because it's too high, line spacing is increased a bit so there's enough room?Inserting a thumbs up icon creates an extra line because it is higher than fonts. It will be the same with any emoticon of that size.
This is a thumbs up icon placed right underneath the previous line.
There are constraints in what can be done with this, I'm sorry. It's a matter of using the emoticons judiciously, then. Or, as with this thumbs up, it is from my mobile phone's set of emoticons. So, that's a great alternative I hadn't thought of yet.Ah! So that's why. This is what happens when I go in and edit a post after posting, where the post has the thumbs up-icon, like in #46.
Edit:
Or maybe it just makes a block of text look strange then, if there's a thumbs up-icon used in there somewhere.
Could maybe the image for the thumbsup emoji be replaced with the smaller one you used in your last post?Inserting a thumbs up icon creates an extra line because it is higher than fonts. It will be the same with any emoticon of that size.
That's not possible at this point. Imagine replacing this set used by tens of thousands of posts, with one where the codes don't correspond. Blanks. What a mess across the forum...Could maybe the image for the thumbsup emoji be replaced with the smaller one you used in your last post?
Definitely wouldn't want to change the entire set, I was just thinking of this one file:That's not possible at this point. Imagine replacing this set used by tens of thousands of posts, with one where the codes don't correspond. Blanks. What a mess across the forum...
We've tried various sets over the years of revamping the site. What we have now is functional enough. If Mike wants us to get something else, we'll look into it, but that's something he'd have to initiate.

Sorry, yes, the only font that needed addressing and was affected was for titles (Roboto font), not the text. Everything else should be fine and working as intended.
I'll see if something can be done for this one as it is often used. But it's not a priority at the moment.Definitely wouldn't want to change the entire set, I was just thinking of this one file:

But I don't want to nitpick, this really isn't a big deal. I'm totally fine with keeping the emojis as they are.
That's totally fine I know people come with requests all the time too hehe! There are constraints in what can be done with this, I'm sorry. It's a matter of using the emoticons judiciously, then. Peace,
André
What if/when the forum code gets updated (I'm guessing it does sometimes), don't it have to be changed every time then?
Thats why child themes exist, at least in wordpress-land. It's a set of changes you make that are applied globally without changing the base code. What if/when the forum code gets updated (I'm guessing it does sometimes), don't it have to be changed every time then?
Ah ok, like inheritance in C++ etc.Thats why child themes exist, at least in wordpress-land. It's a set of changes you make that are applied globally without changing the base code.
