Oh, ok. Yes, it does .I wasn't suggesting it as a solution. I just wanted to know if that made a difference.

I had posted the settings in post #8, and I'm pretty sure they've always been like that. I didn't even know that font settings panel existed and the browser install is fairly fresh and hasn't been updated a lot yet.Do you know what font settings you had before when it looked normal to you?
You are 100% correct. As soon as I install that the fonts on the forum change.I had posted the settings in post #8, and I'm pretty sure they've always been like that. I didn't even know that font settings panel existed and the browser install is fairly fresh and hasn't been updated a lot yet.
Have you seen my theory what's going on in post #20 under the screenshot? If you don't mind, could you please install roboto slab to see if the font changes for you too?
Roboto Slab - Google Fonts
Roboto has a dual nature. It has a mechanical skeleton and the forms are largely geometric. At the same time, the font features friendly and open curves. Whilefonts.google.com
OK, so @MartinH. is not wrong. I looked into the theme styles and found an instance of Roboto that is used for titles.I had posted the settings in post #8, and I'm pretty sure they've always been like that. Hi @MartinH. Can you clear your cache and try again? I assume you are using the Dark theme, yes? I only modified the Dark theme, so you can check with the Light theme and that one should show Roboto on your machine. Now, I don't know why that has not shown on my radar before, because it is noticeably different than Verdana. But on my browser, it's not showing, and as he said, it's possibly due to not being installed on my machine.
WHY has this only manifested now? Because the OP installed it recently.
► So I will replace that instance with the same value as the rest: 'Verdana', Arial, sans-serif.
Then I will ask you to clear your cache and restart your browser and post a screenshot so I can see if it worked on your end. Hopefully this is it.

OK, good, so we found the culprit. I've edited the Light theme too now. I doubt it could annoy some people, although possible. I hope not.
Maybe they will just like it better this way, just like you.I bet someone else is now wondering why for them the layout has now changed, because they always had Roboto Slab installed .
Everything? Only titles should be bigger. But I just changed that, can you check? So, now everything is bold. It wasnt before. Is this the way its supposed to be?
Bold for unread, regular for read.
Are you seeing this on mobile or desktop? Or both? All title text seems to be thicker (?) to me now. Not sure if it's a different font or the font size has been bumped up, but everything just seems more dense and harder to read.
Edit: I guess that'll be the font weight you were talking about.
Both. Here’s two screenshots from mobile. I had an idle tab of VIC open, so I managed to get a screenshot of what it looked like before. The zoom isn’t exactly the same, but you can tell there’s just more white in the current font weight. Are you seeing this on mobile or desktop? Or both?
I'd have to look more closely tomorrow, but for now can you take a look now and tell me if you see a difference? Both. Here’s two screenshots from mobile.
