I wasn't around at the time of the release, but have fond and fun memories of this during my high school times in the mid/late 90's when that 70's revival was everywhere. There were a lot of 70's disco- themed parties and clubs on which everyone dressed accordingly, and this was included in many of those DJ sets back then.You are probably too young to know this, but that album reached the top 15 of the record charts in 1977. It wasn't a joke at all. in fact, I'm sure Meco made a ton of money while people around the world listened and danced to this Star Wars remix.
