StaffPad - Playback Examples - Pre Update vs Post Update

Am I right in thinking that CineBrass sounds louder than before at forte (or is it specifically on accents)?

Hey everyone,

Eric from StaffPad here. We appreciate you taking the time to detail your thoughts on how things are going - feedback of all types is what helps us improve.
Now that we have released this latest update, there have been some changes to how the playback functions, or rather the instruments themselves. With this update we have switched over the "base" of our sound library to a different library, which as you noticed has altered playback. One reason you may be hearing such a large change is due to any automation you may have in your scores, as this library functions slightly differently to the previous, the same automation will function differently as well.

With any new update or change, it can take some time to get used to the new sound. That's not to say however that there wasn't anything wrong, or there weren't bugs. There definitely are some things on our end to iron out, and hopefully this recent hotfix has helped.
We are already looking on how to improve the overall quality of the new sound library; we want to make StaffPad the best composition space it can be, and that includes everything from the writing process to final playback, and everything in between.

I won't be in this forum often, but if you guys have any questions, or if anything else comes up - you can always email [email protected].
Welcome Eric! Glad to have official Staffpad representation here! 🙏🎵🎶

Did the Staffpad update.

Getting something unusual going on now (ipad M1, ipados 17.0.3).

If I start a score playing, go to the gear icon and change some setting while the score is still playing, jump back to the still playing score and then hit the Home icon, Staffpad will leave the score and go back to the Home screen and doesn`t stop playing the score.

I can then go to a second score, open it, hit play and now two scores are playing (obviously two scores playing at the same time sounds not good). I then need to terminate Staffpad by pulling up from the bottom of the screen and then flicking Staffpad from the background.

This doesn't happen every time I do this but it has occurred multiple times (i.e. not a one time glitch).

Obviously, the easiest way to deal with this is to stop the score playing before pressing Home. Not a show stopper by any means, more like an undocumented feature.

For iPad, is the update via the App Store or just within StaffPad itself? Can’t seem to find it in the App Store..

When I went to update iPad Staffpad yesterday the App store showed only Open, not Update as an option. When I clicked in on the App Store Staffpad window to read about Staffpad the App Store then offered Update as an option.

StaffPad updates never appear in my list of apps with updates. I have to search for StaffPad and then go to the StaffPad app page.
