Staffpad Update Notification Thread

I'm guessing once David sold to Ultimate Guitar, the same big sample developers felt their IP could be xferred to the desktop MuseScore and probably shied away from that. Or else they never figured that StaffPad would end up making their libraries sound BETTER than their full blown versions at a fraction of the cost.
It seems highly likely that OT pulled out well before the sale of the company. We all saw Glory Days on DWH's iPad long before the sale. I'm sure OT thought they weren't making enough money, but the part that @OrchestralTools didn't understand is that StaffPad was the greatest advertisement for their products. I bought almost all of the full versions of their orchestral libraries as a result of what I heard on StaffPad.

The other guitar library plays correctly, as does muse guitars in musescore.

Well, doesn't that mean that it works correctly? Guitars are octave-transposing which is to say that notes in the treble clef sound an octave lower than notated. Staffpad ignores transposing instruments so the guitars sound too high.

Right?

Thanks, i know how guitars work. If i load up Essential guitars Vol 1 into a treble cleff, they play as expected (hows that?). When i load up Muse guitars into the same treble cleff, they play an octave HIGHER than expected, requiring an octave low treble cleff to correct it (NOT required in musescore nor Notion.

That said, yeah I wish more developers jumped on SP so we could get Berlin Con Sord strings... or even Project SAM and VSL too. Sigh.

I'm super happy that Muse Choir and guitars made it over to Staffpad. And saxes. The previous ones were not great but the Muse Saxes are pretty solid. I guess our only hope is that David or his team continue to do curated library expansions for StaffPad as time marches on.
lol I remember asking Paul Thompson of Spitfire to port more stuff over to StaffPad and he had some humorous response lol

The new guitar library was better than I thought. A big step up from the old one. The octave thing is annoying though. I hope they update the library to sound an octave lower.
