Thank you from the heart, you are very kind!Great job. I really like how you worked with and around the SFX. Much better job of that than I did for sure.

I finally built up the courage to create something and submit it. This for me was the hardest thing to compose as it hit too close to home but I'm glad I did it. Hope you enjoy and Happy New Year everyone.
Thank you so much. I really appreciate the kind words. This is terrific. To me this captured the arc of the story perfectly. Your orchestration didn't get in the way or distract at all. Great job!!
Hey lovely people,
Hope everyone's doing fine/had a good time scoring! Here's my entry for the competition, I've finally decided this is the year I'm actually submitting things haha. I'd love some feedback on it if anyones interested!
Woah, first of all thank you so much for the kind words! I had quite a difficult time actually figuring out what the underlying emotion of the piece should be. It feels like it's a mix between loneliness/longing/being at peace. I hope that's well captured in the piece. I do agree with the climax actually, it might have done better with some different orchestration!I love the way you capture the drama and hold us in suspense until the mom says "thank you". Genius. Your orchestration is really good but my only critique is the climax sounds a little too big and slightly out of place. I think it's timed perfectly and warranted in that spot but just a little too big compared to the ensemble you've set up prior if that makes sense. But that's the only thing that stood out to me and an initial impression.
Great job and i'm envious of your sense of timing and drama.
I think this one is deceptively difficult. I think the music can really play a key role for example is he eagerly anticipating this day (excitement) or is he dreading it? Is he somewhat relieved it's the last tape or deeply saddened by it? Or all of that? And how do you depict that musically? All of these thoughts on how the music can bring some clarity to the ambiguity of the film. I'm no expert by any means but a way I'm starting to think about scoring to picture.Woah, first of all thank you so much for the kind words! Once again, thank you for the kind words!
I entered the animation video but thought I'd post the live action video and solicit comments if anyone would be so kind. I did make a couple adjustments based on some previous feedback and as I've mentioned before this one is deceptively difficult, at least to me.
Thank you.Really enjoyed this. Nice job.
