Arturia Pigments 5

Every preset pack that you buy shows up immediately in your Arturia web account with its own installer so you can always get your hands on them manually straight after purchase if the in app automatic installers are dragging due to server load.
That's good to know if any issues are ever encountered in the future. Thanks.

Pigments + 3 packs for $69 is tempting. I do like the "easy to use" aspect of it, as I'm not very well versed in synth programming. I would really like to start making my own presets. I am learning how to use the synths I have, which are numerous: most of the NI stuff (I've got KUCE) and Omnisphere. Should I just concentrate on what I have?

Decisions...

For that price you can't go wrong, right? I absolutely love it ... my favorite synth for a while now and the new audio-in feature is a new playground, which I'm currently experimenting with. Feeding it with both, a guitar and MIDI notes is a fantastic playground.

Can you do that with Omni or NI synths?!

Your question is... rhetorical?
Yes and no ;)

I never worked with Omni, but I know that Reaktor has audio-in features. But learning Reaktor ... oha ... very steep learning curve. And Omni also doesn't seem to be simple ;)

I bet learning to built your own presets is much easier in Pigments.

Maybe get the demo first:

I can get it for 49$ and the free Pack. Should i pull the plug?
Do you feel the need for another synth? Are you unhappy with those that you have? Would it be better to spend that $50 on presets of a synth you already have?

I mean, I like Pigments quite a lot, and it has been a most useful soft synth for me, but at a certain point acquiring more softsynths can seem almost counterproductive (unless you are picking them up for the preset packs that are available), since time you spend learning new synths is time you can't spend getting better with synths you already own.

Nothing is a need, its just a sickness, i own almost every VST Synth in the world including the V Collection 9, 50k Eurorack, ARP 2600, Virus TI2, Peak, Analog Keys, Irridium and many others, its just tempting. Same as my 30 Strings Libraries with which i never wrote anything except one 17 Seconds demo here on VI C.

If you feel it's a sickness, then I think you answer your own query.

You seem to recognize that it will bring you little to no joy, it will satisfy no particular need, it seems likely to only add to your digital clutter. And though you evidently acquire a lot, you don't seem to get satisfaction from collecting either. I would conclude that, no, you shouldn't buy this.

Apart from Main Pigments discussion ..... as Pigments 5 (new update) User ..... delighted with Update; equally delighted with generous offer for Exploration Bundle - Beats, Expressive, Liquid .... along with new YT Videos, by Lana, providing helpful walkthroughs. 👏🏻
