the preset packs are new to promote pigements 5.Hopefully someone will answer this. I wonder if the preset packs they put on sale are the ones that no one is buying at the moment.

I'm not seeing them in the Pigments in-app store---are you sure they're there? Is a way to refresh them? I'm using the demo version, but I don't think that should make a difference.I'm pretty sure that the offer on the bundle contains 3 new expansions, so no need to invoke any conspiracy.
The good news is that those expansions now finaly show up in the Analog Lab or Pigments in-app store, so there's 20 or so presets from each you can demo to see if you like 'em. NB - the bundle offer seems to be only available on the web.
Are you referring to the Analog Lab demo? I never installed it because I thought I would need the full version to do such things.I'm pretty sure that the offer on the bundle contains 3 new expansions, so no need to invoke any conspiracy.

(Incidentally in Analog Lab there's also a free new expansion of retro synth classics - imo not as good as their previous famous preset classics, but free is free).
Analog Lab Play (free version) | Analog Lab Intro (with Arturia HW) | Analog Lab Pro | Analog Lab Pro (with V Collection) |

The lighter version has multis has presets, if I remember correctly. I think that would be 'Intro'. But you can't edit them beyond adjusting the macros. Are you referring to the Analog Lab demo? I never installed it because I thought I would need the full version to do such things.
In my downloader it just says Analog Lab demo. Whereas on their comparison this is what the offerings are called:
Analog Lab Play
(free version)Analog Lab Intro
(with Arturia HW)Analog Lab Pro Analog Lab Pro
(with V Collection)
I hesitate to just install something when I'm offered snippets or partial features. Maybe I'm just not as trusting as I should be.

And they should be at the top of the list right? What I see is "Future Chaos"... I looked through all the packs and still didn't see them.
Yes, but they don't show up in mine. Guess I should try Analog Lab demo, or maybe Analog Lab Intro since I do have that for some reason. But presumably I won't be able to edit the Pigments parameters then.
I agree wholeheartedly. If there's one thing I took away from buying Pigments, it's that I now really don't need another virtual synth.
They showed up for me only after I installed them. To install them I couldn't use ASC, which never showed it was aware of the purchase. I had to download them from the Arturia site and then install them as packages. They also didn't at that point come with images. So I had to make some from the website and import them to the correct place.Yes, but they don't show up in mine. They're not showing up in the Analog Lab store for me either, even though iirc someone on KVR claimed they were showing up in the Analog Lab store but not the Pigments store.Yes, but they don't show up in mine. Yes, I'm in this boat too - mostly looking to learn how to use stuff for personal expression - and Arturia has quite a lot more expansions than UVI - but I'm on the fence on so much of it for these and many more synth expansions. I've picked up some Luftrum preset banks and never been more impressed. I've not gotten to try some of the other noteworthy sound designer's work. There are no shortage of videos on how to create things with Serum, & Omnisphere fairly easy to work with from watching tutorials for it. But for many other synths, they can be genre specific. I would love to see an expert synth user just do a best of in terms of these genre specific expansions, DAW automation and all, and go through how to get the most out of each expansion - maybe take an hour. I would like this for Pigments and Falcon. (It's greatly appreciated when preset programmers do long demos of the expansions, including how to set them up in a DAW for their genre. )They show up for me in my account as a crossgrade $19.99 for the 3. Last I checked I have over 11,000 Arturia presets with Pigments and the V Collection 8. How am I supposed to know what sounds like what at 11,000? It would take years to test them out especially since a lot of Pigments presets are most effective holding the note for 10 seconds or more. Look ma, I'm testing out presets for the majority of my existence.
You can color tag your presets. Right click on a preset and choose from 7 colors (mac). I assume the coloring scheme comes from your OS. There is also the possibility to create playlists. With so many presets I really wish Pigments had at least 3 or 4 different favorite types, preferably with user-created labels. Maybe a tiered system like U-he has (though U-he goes a bit overboard with it).
Mine never showed up in ASC either….I tried so many things to get them to show up that I’m not sure what it actually took… This download was a close 2nd to IK Multimedia downloadsThey showed up for me only after I installed them. None of this was documented, either on the website or in the email (which suggested they would show up in ASC).
I just remembered that I can buy the Synthmaster 3 upgrade now and apparently get access to the alpha version to compare the additive oscillators with the additive engine in Pigments... IDK if the alpha has many presets using them though. But Synthmaster 3's additive specs are so much more impressive IDK if I should even bother comparing them. Plus I'll be getting the free upgrade to Zebra 3 sometime in the future and that will also have comprehensive additive synthesis. While I like the sound of the additive engine in Pigments it's relatively limited (OTOH maybe that makes it harder to make it sound bad?...).The timing of the sale is frustrating because Ableton 12's generative midi seems much more capable than the Pigments generative sequencer / midi exporter, and Synthmaster 3's additive synthesis seems much more capable than the additive engine in Pigments, but I'm not one of the beta testers for either so I probably won't be able to compare them myself until after the sale ends.
Every preset pack that you buy shows up immediately in your Arturia web account with its own installer so you can always get your hands on them manually straight after purchase if the in app automatic installers are dragging due to server load.I assumed that Arturia must have been having some server problems a few days ago, because no matter what I tried, I couldn't get the 3 extra expansion packs to show up after I bought them.
They didn't show up in ASC and they didn't show up in the Pigments store either, even though the packs were registered on the Arturia website.
Later on that night, I was still at it, trying to solve the issue, and I decided to open up Analog Lab and that's where the packs decided to make their appearance, so I installed them from there, closed Analog Lab and opened Pigments again.
By that time, I had spent so much time trying to make things work that I haven't yet bothered to test out any of the new sounds. That'll have to wait for another time.
