A minor issue: within the midi editor there are some cc lanes that I never use (after touch, pitch wheel, musical symbols, etc) I would like to be able to hide those lanes because they push to the right my other used lanes and some of them can not be easily selected. The result is a very difficult navigation between lanes and tracks, this is particularly bad when using Sample Modeling instruments which require several cc lanes.
I know that this is not a real issue but having the possibility to hide unused lanes could make me happy.

Definitely agree. This and the lack of custom presets for which CC lanes to include are improvements needed in Studio One.

I want Presonus to implement Logic's "Only load plug-ins needed for project playback" feature.
If your talking about instruments then Studio One has a way to remove all unused instruments from a project but nothing for effects plugins

note based sound variations, like expression maps in attribute mode in cubase with multiple groups, in addition to the current time based ones
Yes, I agree. Sound Variations associated to individual notes could be a great addition.

Just to minimize the changes to the current implementation, where for example if using VSL libs the Sound Variations are created automatically, I'm thinking that a good way to implement Sound Variations also as note attribute could be to give to the users the possibility to associate any predefined articulation either to the current time-based lane or to a individual note without making any distinction between attributes or time-based articulations.

In Cubase the user must define the time-based articulations (called Directions) and note Attributes when create the expression map. This is not possible for Sound Variations that are created automatically following any change on the instrument plugin (at the moment Sound Variations can be created automatically only for VSL and few other libs but I hope other vendors will be added

I don't want to remove them from my template, I just don't want to activate any of the plugins on that track/channel unless I record or copy MIDI data to it. It's a brilliant feature in Logic that allows me to open a large empty template project which will dynamically load and activate channels only as I use them. It seem so obviously good that I'm surprised more DAWs don't include something similar. Manually disabling and enabling tracks isn't nearly as elegant.

Studio One has a better way of doing Templates
you can create a template using Presets and storing them in the Browser

Ya until the time you rethink the way you want to group things and then you have to re-do all your presets. That's one reason why I lean towards a fairly large template as it's a reflection of your current thinking and production philosophy and morphs over time. Unfortunately it's hard to morph your presets.

Are there are videos you can recommend discussing how to best take advantage of this feature for orchestral libraries?

Delete polyphonic overlap. As far as I'm aware if you want to remove the overlaps, so each note ends when the next starts, you have to do each note manually.

You're saying that these commands don't work as it should? (Scoring Tools doesn't apply since it's a 3rd party tool)

Also, why are you using a DAW as Mario Paint  ?

In addition to this key command there are macros for note overlap, or, notes to not overlap, and by X amount. You can also select all notes and specify the duration I believe. In the example with the “W” of overlapping notes you might want / need to work left to right while selecting, I believe.
