Yes, put it on the master bus and no further action needed. So how does one exactly use Ice9? I'm returning to music production after ages away and after reading the horror stories in this thread, it's been on my mind as the first thing to do.
Put Ice9 on the Master bus, then what do you need to set in Ice9 for the protection?
Thank you for the straightforward and concise explanation!Yes, put it on the master bus and no further action needed.
If you want to allow for more headroom you can click and drag the db value on the lower left corner up to a more lax value. (see LynxUK's picture above)
I would like to remind everyone in case someone is not aware of this that the current (brief)survey Nugen is currently having gives participants a free plugin from a choice of about 5 or 6.
One of the available free plugins av for participants is Sigmod which is quite useful for protecting users against the blast of white noise being discussed in this thread.
Even though all my current templates use Ice9 without issue, I have Sigmod also, that I'll probably incorporate as a replacement going forward...with the added benefit of a few extra tools included .Excellent thanks.
With Cubase moving towards VST3, what are the odds Ice9 will no longer work in the future?
Almost all my old dvd VSTs are no longer installing or loadable due to changed registration methods or new DAW policies.
