Hand-made c 1985 by Ian Wood in Northumbria, this simple D concert flute in English pear-wood is nicely played in and in fine condition, regularly cleaned and oiled. It comes perfectly to pitch when warmed up and is an easy blow over two octaves, with good projection, swift response and very sweet, full tone...outstanding.
|Made after an early baroque model, easily up to classical performance, it also handles traditional tunes very well and is light and comfortable, with no long stretches for the right hand. We also offer this ‘Irish’ flute in F by the same maker. As always, these instruments are available for home trial, with no obligation, and interesting exchange offers are welcome.|
