Hi all,
I think I can post this here, being as I am among creatives. I am loolikng for opinions on crafting an online presence.
Having been a creative "hermit" for a while, I have deided I have something important to say and am creative a web presence.
In the last three months, I have been constructing a larger Studio in my property. it's 18ft by 11 as I unreliable recall. I shall post a few pics for interest. It's finished. It's a space for say a max of sixteen, cosy for four or five, with a large main monitor with access to music tools (Band in a Box, Cubase).
I will be using this space to run small groups, teach creative piano, and teach "Deeper Humanism". So it.s more than a music studio. It's a creative space.
The studio is now finished, if ever you can say that, barr a few bean bags. I am now about to construct an online presence.
Here's my plan:
Buy a domain name (Where? How?)
Create a website to host the "home" or "core" of what I am doing. This will be colorful. I will use AI imaging (which I have recently mastered). Definitely no "choose from our wonderful coorperate . There will be texts for bio, times of groups description of topics, essays, in the future homespun videos and more.
Its a "me" website for a creative.
I tried WIX so called Artificial "Intelligence" it decided that I was an interior designer, despite me telling it I was going to teach humanistic group work, evolution, and creative piano & harmony! I don't want any genre clones.
Can anyone recommend a way forward, give tips? I am not sure where to host the domain name. My idea is to construct a simple website first then worry about social media and marketing. The website is the hub. Eventually, I will use Meetup.com for interested customer harvesting and more.
All suggestions welcome? Where are the pit's of vipers (?) I once paid £450 a year for a hosting (!) . Now I know to be cautious.
