Converting audio tracks into high-resolution midi information!

Hello,

I am looking for a way to convert a Drum kit into high resolution MIDI and allowing to me edit these tracks without reverting to MIDI 1.0 (7bit).

Each drum within the kit was recorded to its separate audio Track into Nuendo at 48 kHz 24bit.

A). Are there any VST3 programs that can do this into 32bit float (for example according published VST3 specifications)?

B) How does Cubase or Nuendo currently do this with Variaudio?

Thanks for any help!

I'm lost here. Do you mean an audio file/track that is either an audio track that comprises an entire drum track, stems, or individual drum tracks?

Cubase can do that. But I use Toontrack SD3 for that. Neither at this time is going to be Midi 2.0.

Hi Greggybud,
bassdrum, Snaredrum, Tom each are recorded onto its own audio track at 24bit 48kHz.
confusing is that Steinberg VST3 specifications state midi values of 32 bit float to 64 bit float depending on the midi value category.
since VST3 has been introduced years ago why would Cubase still use MIDI1.0 7bit
resolution Internally.
I was hoping that Cubase uses its own VST3 specifications for MiDI In Cubase and Nuendo internally and within its VST 3 environment.

There is an interesting thread here that claims one can set the cubase midi resolution to1000000 steps!

regarding Midi2.0. In a German forum someone suggested
It seems that Steinberg are installing a developer preview of the windows driver with CubEndo 13.
