Error after upgrading VEPro7 to version 7.1.1249-Apr 2 2022 and now my server projects won't load

I had fun once. It was awful.
Hey guys, @Ben

Well I just upgraded to the latest VEPro7 version and apparently all the server projects I try to load are 'invalid'.

Tried the same on one of my other machines - same thing, same error.
Before the upgrade everything worked just fine, so what's going on? o_O

Cheers.

Hi, they are already working on a fix which should be released later today, but if it's urgent you can uninstall the VEPro via Assistant and manually install the previous version from this link (last post by Paul)

Ah great, thought it was my fault somehow, but this is good to know. Sorry if I missed it. I've been away for a while - mostly raising a puppy. Thanks!

Sorry, we are already on it! A fix should be available soon. In the meantime please use the build from the forum.

Please update from the Vienna Assistant - a new version with fixes for this should be available now!

SO, I just went to download version 1249, but VSL is showing version1120 as being the latest version.
Did I miss something?

There is a glitch in the Assistants version number lable. Restarting the Assistant should show you the correct version. But don't worry, independend on the lable the latest version should have been installed.

VEP: 7.1.1263
VE: 7.1.79

Here, updated and without problems. Ben, since you're here, can we expect soon the possibility of hosting VST3 plugins in Vienna Ensemble Pro?

Interesting!!!
Running 'Check For Updates' from the VEPro7 -> Help menu, says that version1120 is the latest version.
So is this the same as version1263? If not then how on earth do I download the latest version?

v1120 is the last eLicenser version and will not get any updates.
v1263 is the latest iLok build.

It would be nice to have maintenance updates for the eLicenser version.
Some of us are not quite yet comfortable opening a new can of worms with the invasive iLok system.

Ok, got it. Thanks :)
Wow. So far I've only transferred over to iLok on my studio PC, but its sooo easy!!!
It will be interesting to see how doing the same with our studio VSL library Dell server fairs, tomorrow.

I just realized something that I want to verify, but I think I know the answer. Though I have 3 syncrosoft keys for using my 3 licenses of VE pro, I only have 2 ilok dongles (one generation 1, one generation 2). I’m guessing I need to purchase at least 1 more ilok to host all 3 of my licenses? If so, does VSL ilok support all generations of physical iLok? Cant believe that a silly USB dongle can cost so much $$ (slave PC’s dont go online so iLok Cloud is not an option for me at this time)

HELP !!

Ok, BIG PROBLEM here !!!

We have x12 VEPro7 servers, each running on a separate Dell Windows server.
Al has worked fine until switching to iLok licenses today.
We have x14 VEPro7 licenses, and have activated all of these, and had assumed that these would all work fine by way of activating them to the same iLok cloud account.
HOWEVER, when each Dell server atempts to open VEPro7 (version 1263), iLok requests that the other servers be deactivated, so that the current server can activate VEPro7 and thus allow it to run VEPro7.
On this basis, it seems that only one VEPro7 server license can be active per iLok account.
Is this true ?

So, how do I now run VEPro7 on all 12 servers without having to setup a different iLok account for each server? (and transfer ownership of 11 licences to each of the new iLok accounts?)

@Ben Help!!

@Ben Help!!
Looks like I need to spend £500+ on new iLok dongles !!!!

Does anyone know how to ditch the iLok licenses and regress back to eLicenser ?
