Embracing the Absurd
When do you think it will arrive…I want to upgrade from 5.5 and upgrading to 6.5 now seems too close to 7 and I don't want to pay to upgrade twice.
Earliest in fall 2024, but maybe next year, who knows. Now that 6.5 added long missed features like surround sound and Dolby Atmos, V7 needs to bring a lot new features. When do you think it will arrive…
He doesn't want it now, he wants it yesterday! There's really only one question: Do you want it now, have fun with it right away and make music with the new features - or can you wait?
Try the subscription for a month and see if it's worth the upgrade cost to you. Unless I am remembering wrong, Presonus charges less to upgrade from the most recent version (6 to 7) versus an older version (5 or earlier to 7). I'm quite happy with the changes introduced in v6 to v6.5, but your mileage may vary. When do you think it will arrive…I want to upgrade from 5.5 and upgrading to 6.5 now seems too close to 7 and I don't want to pay to upgrade twice.
No, upgrade from all versions ... same price.Presonus charges less to upgrade from the most recent version

that is true about the surveyNot long ago (maybe december?) Presonus sent a questionnaire asking which part of S1 needs most improvement, so they probably only started thinking about anything related to v7 and what upgrades it should include.
Highly doubtful they're just now thinking of what upgrades v7 should include. Typically this is done when a Product team wants user feedback to make sure their roadmap/vision aligns with what their customers find important and can adjust the roadmap accordingly if there are any features that customers show a high demand for that maybe they didn't give as much weight too.Not long ago (maybe december?) True dis. Presonus most likely had v7 specced out LONG ago and is cooking that up - slowly.Highly doubtful they're just now thinking of what upgrades v7 should include.
Yup, they are not Steinberg who does differential pricing. No, upgrade from all versions ... same price.
